I have my Tragus pierced, and a bubble formed around the inside and the outside of it. I know this is common with cartilage piercings. Is there any way I can make it go away?

mine did the same thing the best thing 2 do is to clean your piercing out with peroxide and apply ointment on the bubbles

im getting my tragus piercied in a few days im soooo nervous but it will be sooooo cool.  oh and the bump thing happened with my ear and I popped it after a while and then it was fine so I guess you can do the same with your tragus

I got my tragus pierced in march.last week another piercer took it off, since it was infected. something is missing, I feel bad. It didn´t even hurt, but it was thick.
a lot of people have long process with the tragus, right? does anybody know, if I can do it in 2 month or so again, the same ear?

I just got my tragus pierced today! real fidelly, the pain goes on for so long cause of the thick cartilage, but it looks wicked, can't wait to put a bit of bling in there!!

You can't do it again on the same ear. theres scar tissue and it will hurt very bad and it isn't safe.

I have my tragus pierced, and I got it pierced like a month ago. I didn't think it hurt too much. I am the kinda person who likes the pain of piercings and tattoos, so to me it didn't hurt. My tragus ir fairly small, so I wasn't able to put a hoop in it , so the piercer put in a bar bell.... The bar bell is pretty long for swelling, but it looks cool. My tragus never got a bump on it after, or ever, but it sometimes gets pretty swollen... it hasn't gone down to the regular size it was before I pierced it, but you can barely even notice the size of it! So its all good!! I'd definitly reccomend it to someone who is considering it! I love mine!!

I recently got me Tragus pierced about 6 weeks ago and its swalling but it dont hurt and its a little bruised but not red is it infected? What should i do?

Well  I have the bubble on the inside and on the outside as well. Should I have my friend pop the one on the inside? or should I just put the ointment on it everyday?

i have a bubble on my tragus piercing around the inside and outside also...the inside one is a lot bigger..how can i get rid of them..is it possible they wont ever go away?

Take one cup of water and boil it.  Add 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt and soak a chamomile tea bag in it for 5 minutes.  Then place it on the bubble for 15 minutes, three times a day.

That should help reduce it.

it depends how long it takes to heel i had to take on of mine out and it took 4 months to heal n i still have a scar...it depends how long ur body takes to heal but if u buy vitamin e pills and break them open and but the oil on where u had ur tragus pierced and it will help it heal well and faster

Hey, yeah, that bubble would be a bacteria infection (My piercer told me) and the best thing you can do is clean it blah blah, but I went to the doctor, cause i have my helix, and tragus, I suggested Hydrocrotisone 1%, because thats what my piercer said would be best. Takes time, and the bump has gone down, plus it makes me feel better knowing I'm doing something about it. I love them so much!

i had my tragus pierced 4 weeks ago, it got badly infected and i was put on 2 different kinds of antibiotics...it didnt clear up and this resulted in going to the hospital for it to be drained, this made it swell again and i then went back to the hospital wher they put a local anesthetic in my ear to drain it easier. This hasn't worked either and i am having an operation tomorrow to remove the abscess on my anti-tagus that has formed in result from my tragus being pierced! so good luck anyone who wants their tragus pierced now!

i have had mine done for three months and it is still healing. it is a very long process and it is not for those who cannot keep up with the cleaning regime.

well i had my tragus pierced about a month and its giving me a lil bit of problems but i think it is worth the hassel.. cuz it is so cool. i luv piercings i have about 10 of them...top and bottum navel,nipples,lobes,cartilage tongue and tragus

I'm getting both tragus' done tommorow as my birthday present. There was a lot of things I didn't know about them and I didn't know they could bubble like my cartlidge does. Thats good to know and its good to know how to prevent it.

i got both of  my traguses  peirced yester day but the chick that periced it did them un even so im thinking i should take the one that looks the worst out and get it redown in about two weeks but i dont no if it will be all the way healed

Hey ive had the little bump on my ear and my piercer told me not to take it out ..
I guess i should just clean it w/ dial .. i heard peroxcide and alcohaul dry it up ...

I got my tragus pierced about 2 months ago and this morning i realized that the little bump that formed had blood in it, is it okay to pop that and clean with peroxide? What should i do?

I got my tragus pierced a little over a month ago and I have the bubble over it too. Before the bubble appeared around the piercing was a purpleish color and that went away and then the bubble formed. Is it anything to worry about?

you can crush up asprin and add water on till it turns in to a past and take the past and a Q-tip rub on ..then wash off after letting it dry and add oitment

is your tragus in your genital region coz ,my friend got it done and she said it killed and also it got infected so the doctor had to remove it. shes on antibiotics now, why would anyone get a genital piercing?

I got my tragus pierced and it got infected.  Two really big bumps formed around the inside and outside, they constantly "leak fluid."  It's not "popable" its hard, like a scar.  It's been like this for FIVE months, im debating whether to take it out or not.  It just won't go away!

i really want to get my tragus pierced for easter and my mum said she will take me in a few days, but im really really worried what if something goes wrong, can you go death i also heard that it will never heal. i only have my ears and naval pierced so im kind of freakin out here..........

Hey guys, I just got my Tragus pierced yesterday with a little hook it looks great, it doesn't hurt nomore, but I suggest not wiggling it around the 1st week, beacuse it is sore, people told me it would hurt just as bad as a cartalidge, but It didn't it hurt may more than my nose, but I think you all should get it done it's cool and don't let anybody try to scare you

DO NOT POP IT OR USE PEROXIDE!!
Popping it can lead to infection which may make it ooze puss etc.
Peroxide dries out the skin making it crack and split and more likely to get infected.

Mix a cup of warm water with 1/4 of a teaspoon of rock salt and wash the piercing and the bump with this using a clean cotton bud. Do not use the same cotton bud more than once.

Hey, I got my tragus pierced yesterday, it's going well so far and I have heard that a lot of people have problems with the after care. I don't want this to happen espacially as I play netball and can't take it out, so I want it to heal ASAP. For now i have a long side fringe that i clip so it hides my stud. But all i need to know is do i turn the piercing? I don't want to make it harder to turn if I have to.. PLEASE reply ASAP, thanks.

i had my tragus pierced today cos i decided to skip college hehe, but yeah its really not that bad, they numbed it, which was probably worse than the actual piercing, but yeah if i were to  rate the pain out of 10, 10 being worst, 5/10 cos it can sting quite a bit when they fiddle about putting the CBR in, other than that, go for it people! its amazing and looks great :)

I got my tragus done almost a month ago and i clean it 3 times a day like i am suposte to and its still gets crusties on it and puss's. is it infected? i have 9 other piercings and none of them did this before. some one give me answer please.

i got my tragus pierced last week, It hurt getting it done but immediatly afterwards it didn't hurt anymore and it hasn't hurt at all since. it hasn't swelled up or anything. i was wondering when i cud take the bar out and put my own in?
Good luck with others getting it done, coz they look so cool! It's worth it!

no ur tragus doesnt bleed when its pierced....it really doesnt hurt all that much either. actually i thought that my ear lobe piercings hurt more then the tragus piercing. its really not a big deal at all. it really doesnt hurt all that much after its done...for me i thing that the hardest part about the piercing was the twisting the earing part which even so wasnt that big of a deal...dw about being nervous...i was REALLY nervous before i go it done. but really there is no need to be.it helps to close your eyes. good luck!

i had my tragus pierced about 3 or 4 months ago. it doesnt bleed...maybe a drop of blood at most.
you are NEVER supposed to clean piercings with peroxide. use sea salt.
and no

alright i juss got my tragus pierced yesterday, i'm 14 so my mom signed for it.. i was in and out in like 10 minutes and it didn't hurt AT ALL! and it still doesn't.. it did bleed just a bit but no harm done. It looks totally awesome and i really encourage doing it, just make sure you trust your piercer!

tragus peircings are cool..i just got mine done, and i love it. hope i dont have a probem with it like my cartilage. it went purple and swelled up like a balloon.. so i had to get sum different cleaning stuff. it was nasty.

Just wanted to ask, is it normal after a tragus piercing that the stud pops out a bit? My piercer didnt put the back on because he said it could fall off and lodge in my ear. It's just liuke a stud with no back. It keeps slipping out a couple of millimetres and i ended up leaving it how it is because its painful at the moment to keep pushing it into the right position. help!

I just got my tragus pierced today..Alchol peroxide..Bad idea..You should use antibacterial soap on a q-tip..thi stuff h2oxygen works great

never use peroxide
the best thing to do is sea salt soaks...
take hot water and sea salt and use a shot glass to hold it up there.. for about 5-10 minutes
and clean it with regular anti-bacterial soap.. it'll take about 3 or 4 weeks for it to start going away.. but it will.

i pierced my own tragus. i used a 20 gauge at first and gauged it to an 18. it had a bubble on it at first and i just let it go. it seems to be doing better now.

I've had my tragus for a month it didn't hurt at all it gets swollen and tender but that's normal because a piercing is a wound my friend is a piercer and she says tee tree oil helps it heal faster I agree and it makes it feel better I love my piercing

I have my tragus pierced - i love it but what is going on with it? it looks like its trying to grow over my stud!! in the inside of my ear what should i do? i clean it everyday and have had it for about 6 months - should i switch to a ring?

i just pierced my own tragus and i cant figure out which kind of jewlry to put in it so ti would be confortable, its also really sore, and everytime i laugh or smile it hurts...its kinda weird

Hey guys I have my tragus done and yes mine did take a long time to heal... and whenever i change the barbell to a ring or watever it always gets the bump... and i hate it but don'tworry it will go away and i have some fast techniques so if you have any questions just email sportz_babe_15@hotmail.com

hey guys I had the same thing with the bubble on mine its pretty much gone now, but anyways i cant get the ball  to get off it so i am going to the piercers. Guess what guys I have my nose pierced too i am 13 yrs old. My mom is a health nut freak and she said to put honey in on it because it would take the bump off of it and i know it sounds reallly wrong but it did work and it was off in a month!!!!!!!

Unlike what someone else said, you shouldn't pop the bubble, it may go away but it will make you more likely to get another infection... just keep cleaning it like you are supposed to and it will go away.
I have this problem with my piercing too, it happens when I sleep on it wrong. If you leave it alone it will go away and become perfectly healthy again.

I had to have my tragus removed and I just waited 2 or 3 months and did it again. I have a small keloid, but it's going away. Just clean it properly, use half peroxide and dilute it with water, and apply neosporin. It should go away.

for jamie8281 my didn't get that bad but don't use peroxide because it will put bubbles in your piecing and i used iodine its orange and its called bendine i think is the spelling and its about 6.99 for the cheap brand but IT DOES work!!!! mine i have had done for about 5 months and i took out the stud to put another in and the one the piecer gave to me was too big it was peiced with a 18G and he put in a 16G so it was peiced over again but that was about 3 weeks ago and it MIGHT bleed when you get it done, some people do and some don't hope i helped have fun don't get too crazy!!!!

I think it depends on how fast your ear heals for it to depend on when you get it periced again

yeah im hoping to get my tragus done... i have 2 cartilage piercings already. i mean do they hurt? my lower cartilage hurt more than the top because i think it is thicker there. so is it more painful? oh and kasrin u shud ask your piercer they will be able to tell you.

I am getting my tragus done very soon & I was just wondering to whether it hurts????

I have got 8 on my lobes (4 on each side), my nose and my navel done is it the same pain as any of the above?

i would go back to the place where it was done and ask them bout it and myne is a little infected and i cant go back for 3 weeks, how can i help it till then cause im cleaning it but its not healping it.

Well, I got my Tragus pierced 2 days ago. I was a little scared at first, I even got a nerve rash because i was so freaked out. overall it didnt hurt as much as i thought it would. The needle went through, a quick i felt a pinch, and that was it! It was done in under 10 seconds! As for the Bubble thing, Some advice would be to keep cleaning it Honey!, it will go away in a little while.  Good Luck for all u gals who wanna get theres pierced! It looks awesome!

i have my tragus too && i have no clue what to do with the bubble. it doesnt hurt but its gross looking && when i try to pop it it bleeds,,, any suggestiojns?

give it a couple months and you can get it repierced in the same ear if you want. i did and the piercer said it was fine it just is a bit thicker the second time so it takes some time to get the earring through but it should be fine.

i had a bubble on my nose and it only went away after i took the stud out, be careful!! also im getting my tragus done in 2 weeks and im scared it will happen to my ear, shud i risk it?

Use seasalt on it 3 times a day...it will hurt at first...but if it is a keliod it will make it go away....(i've had this happen to me so i went back to the piercer and asked what to do)

i just got my tragus pierced less then a week ago. the first two or three days it was fine, but now it hurts a lot to move my jaw and to move the jewelery when cleaning it. i think there's probably too much soap build up in the ear, because i can't find a good way to get water on it to rinse it all out. any suggestions?

im really confused, i got my tragus pierced about a week ago, and ive been cleaning it normally with anti-baterial soap and it doesnt hurt or anything, but all around it is some kind of crusty thing. u cant see it, but it just feels really rough, and it went down into my lobe.. im not sure what to do.

Wu, just got my tragus pierced today.had the over side done about a year ago but the bar fell out over nite and healed, so be on ya guard people bcoz the hole closes really fast.xxxx.

i had my tragus pierced a month ago. i was all brilliant and no probs for two weeks...now all of a sudden i have a red raised area on the outside around the piercing and it has now started pussing. it is not swollen apart from around the piercing and is fine on the inside.is this normal and simply a case of keep cleaning it??

i had the same problem with the bubble in my tragus, but after cleaning it for a couple of days, it went away, now i'm always changing the jewelry and everything it's ok. but i usually heal pretty fast with my piercing.

ummmm im really scared to get my tragus pierced but like no1 in my grade has it and i really really really want it.

I got my Tragus pierced just after X-mas last year and i was sooo nervous!! I've had my nose pierced and 3 lobes but for some reason i was so nervous about this piercing i put nail marks in my mates hand Lol. It didnt hurt at all! I got mine done with a needle because its less unlikely to get infected then a gun, the only bit that hurt a tiny weny bit was when he put the ring in! I advise anyone who gets it done to get it pierced with a needle and ask for a stud not a ring because the ring's used are REALLY hard to get out and there tatinum =| and you cant cut them off XD lol!

i just my Tagus done yesterday and it didn't hurt at all i was so nervous at first and the guy told me not to because it doesn't hurt at all. It looks so cute i love it and now i want my other side done ..

OMG i have the same thing. I was just looking for an anwser on the internet. What i know that my piercer told me was to NOT pop it but YES, do clean it 15 min. twice a day with a q-tip . Dip the q-tip in peroxide or H2Ocean (cleaner) and apply pressure to your ear for 15 min. . It kinda hurts but it works!

Tragus is that little flappy bit in ur ear (for the person who asked)...and as for repiercing the same ear again i cant see why not,ive had piercings re done in the same spot before without a problem. I have 20 piercings and told if i have anymore im gonna leak like a sprinkler lol.

you can get it re pierced.  i'vehad mine done before.  hurts a bit more because of scar tissue.

okay so ive had my tragus on both ears pierced for almost 2 1/2 months and theres also a bubble formed on the outside as well as in the inside on both too. i clean it with sea salt water as much as i can. is this the normal healing process? will it go away eventually? i dont want to take it because it's way cute

okay so i got my tragus pierced in february and absolutaly love it. i have been reading a lot trying to figure out what these big red bubbles on the outside and inside of my piercing. can someone plz tell me how to make it go away and what the hell it is. it doesn't hurt that bad just aches every once in awhile but the bubble in the inside of my ear is enormous and it's starting to scare me. plz i need some advice on what to do and I don't want to take it out.
