I'm going to be towing a Terry Lite 5th wheel with my 02 Tundra. Are there Towing mirrors made for it or do I have to use those Universal ones??

My recent search for a set of tow mirrors made expressly for Tundra pickups leads me to believe there are currently none available.

McKesh Manufacturing makes a high quality strap-on mirror that provides good rearward visibility for towing.  However the nylon straps used to anchor them to each door tend to whistle in the wind and stretch out in rainy weather.  The mirror mounting system  also tends to deform the rubber window seals as they attach by hooking over the seal (between the seal and the glass).  The foot that supports each mirror between the attachment points is padded, but can rub the paint on the doors over time.

There is another option.  Prime Products manufactures a universal clip-on tow mirror that works pretty well on a Tundra.  They attach by hooking over the factory mirrors at the top and bottom and are held in place with wide rubber straps.  They are lightweight, don't vibrate excessively at speed, are easy to put on and take off, provide decent visibility, do no damage to factory equipment, and are inexpensive ( less than $40 a pair).  They make at least two sizes.  Go with the XL size if you decide to try them.

Good Luck!

to the factory units and provide decent

We just came out with a totally new concept in extension towing mirrors which will solve your problem. The concept even allows you to adjust your towing mirror with the remote controls of your present power mirror and that for only $26.95/ea!  Please visit our web site at: www.Tow-N-See.com for more information.

I did extensive research for replacement tow mirrors for my 02 Tundra.  Even had my brother who does ordering for Universtity automotive maintenance shop look for some.  No luck either way.  Went thru three brands of clip/strap-ons.  Find that the wide rubber band straps work best and have given no trouble neither functionally nor cosmetically.  Just look stupid when all other vehicles have factory installed tow mirrors.  ???  What's up Toyota, y'all want camper business or not?
