My Golden loves the cold. He will lay in the snow bank instead of sitting on the porch. He seems to come to life in the winter. In the summer he bums out under the apple tree in the shade. I believe that somewhere in his past he spent much of his time in a cold climate. He loves to go for long hikes in the deepest of the snows. I noticed a mark between his pawl prints in the snow now and then and it turns out to be him taking a bite of snow for a drink with out stopping as he runs. He also pesters me to take ice out of a cold drink in the summer time.
