VSAT is Very Small Aperture Terminal. The ETSI definition is an antenna up to 3.7m at KU band and up to 7.4m at C band but in reality up to 4.6m C band is the accepted 'normal' for C band.

The central hub's purpose is to broadcast data to all the remote sites and to receive data from transmitting remote sites.

VSAT is a Very Small Aperture Terminal. The typical diameter of a VSAT antenna is 1.8/3.8 Meters for C/X Band and 1M for Ku Band.
The Central hubs purpose is Monitoring and Control of the entire network, in case of DAMA VSATs and broadcasting the Outbound carrier in case of TDMA VSAT networks

VSAT stands for Very Small Aperture Terminal. A VSAT is a small-sized telecommunications earth station that transmits and receives via satellite. The terminal size is 1.2 to 2.4 meters in diameter. VSAT systems generally connect a large number of geographically dispersed sites to a central location. VSAT networks may transmit voice, data, fax, or video conferencing. A typical VSAT site consists of a parabolic-shaped antenna mounted on the roof of a building, connected by a cable to a chassis inside the building. Operators install these antennas at customer sites and buy transmission capacity on satellites.

VSAT is a secure and reliable medium to connect geographically dispersed locations. In a situation where other connectivity options are not feasible, VSAT offers two distant advantages: less deployment time and easy manageability. A look at how Comsat Max has created a VSAT network that connects remote and major locations nationwide and the advantages your company will gain if you go the VSAT way.

Is short for very small aperture terminal, an earthbound station used in satellite communications of data, voice and video signals, excluding broadcast television. A VSAT consist of two parts, a transceiver that is placed outdoors in direct line of sight to the satellite and a device that is placed indoors to interface the transceiver with the end user's communications device, such as a PC.
