HI... I WANT TO GET MY NOSE PIERCED, AND I'LL WAIT TO SEE...

High all. I have my nose done...as well as a few other things and i would have to honestly say this was the easiest piercing....my eyes watered up and i flinched really bad as the needle went thru, then it throbbed for 10-20 minutes after that. That was all of the pain though...the cleaning for the first month suckes...butnot as bad as some others...the only thing is DONT TOUCH it...only to clean it which is hard or this lil bump will appear around it and you have to hot compress it for a week or 2 till it goes away....thast sucks. as far as piercing it yourself goes...DONT DO IT! the nose is a sensitive area and if it is not done correctly or not taken care of properly, it can get an infection and it that isn't taken care of immediately, it can spread to your face and sinus cavitys....so be careful!

Hi I'm Cheeky Charmz! lol I'm your average 17 yr old girl dealing with the usual girl stuff of being dumped it really sucks so you know I want a change, I'm naturally blonde and I'm now a saucey brunette and it is true brunette's have more fun...Or maybe its coz I'm both blonde and brunette that I've had such a blast...Anyway moving right along! lol I been thinking about getting my nose pierced I've searched all over the internet getting info on it. But yeah I want to do it myself but I really must ask (while searching on the net I've found ppl get it in all sorts of places) And wondered what side, and where people have got it done. Hey, I am your average 14 year old. I have my noze dun on both sides, DONT DO IT YOURSELF! Needles hurt more than the gun they use, mine cost 10 bucks, it stings a little, then your eyes well up. Your nose throbs for 15 minutes, and heres a little warning, Dont try a nose rings, If its only been in your nose a little while. Also, USE PEROXIIDE! Dont use alcohol. Use a Q-Tip or cotton ball. Dont use normal earings, use nose studs, GOLD IS BETTER THAN SILVER! Also, when going to bed try using dot/baby band-aids to keep it in. It's really useful, DONT USE A STUD OR EARRING BACK! hey hey, wel i got my nose peirced last november sometime, and yeah i got it peirced with a gun..which caused a bump and i let the bump stay for awhile because i jus tthought it would go away but it started getting bigger so i took out my nose stud but the hole stayed open, now i have a little thing in it to keep the hole open, and the bump is slowly going down butnot all the way gone, anyways this could go away faster, or after its gone any chance it will come back after i put in the stud again? all my studs have locks to them which is a good thing cause htey dont fall out that way and i love it, but ites really hard getting the stud in cause you have to like make your hole a bit bigger and yeah it kind of hurts, getting it peirced didnt even hurt for me at all, i got my tounge peirced and that hurt, but not too much , nose was nothing i just got my ears peirced another time also and that didnt hurt either!! anyways, just wondering about that bump...

I got my nose pierced last Saturday.I know everyone says it doesn't hurt but it really depends on your pain threshold. What hurts for some people will be a breeze for others. When i got it done..it stung and it took forever for him to get the ball on but after it was done it really didn't hurt.I would forget that it was there alot and go to rub my nose and move it and yea that hurts.I recommend getting the hoop first. it's a whole lot easier to clean that way.When i found out i had to get the hoop i was disapointed....personally the hoops aren't really my thing but now I'm ok with it and I'm grateful.it's so much easier to clean then a stud would be. and one more thing...i think that everyone planning on doing it themselves really shouldn't. it's unsafe and unsanitary. Don't be cheap....go to a licensed piercer and spend a little bit of money.it really isn't all that expensive. i paid $35 for mine.

Okay, I have been wanting to get my nose pierced for a while and my mom won't let me. I have friends who have had it done, and they gave me advice and I did a ton of research on the iNet, and this site is the best BTW. She said yeah I could, when I turned 18 and moved out. That sux, so I tried navel piercing and she said no to that, same thing- when I'm 18 and moved out. I don't really want a tongue piercing it's gross and I hear it hurts a ton. I have my ears done and want double piercings. She's letting me get double piercings in my ears for my next b-day (November), but how do I convince her to let me get nose and/or navel? Please help, I really want these piercings!!!

hello every 1! i just turned 14 and i want to get my nose pierced so badly on the left nostril! but the thing is that my mom wont let me, she says that my face will scar if i plan to take it out, i wont land a job cause it wont look professional, and that if i was trying to express my self, there are other ways!! when i tell her that I'm going to go to a professional to get it done, all she say is "try it, and ill sue them". i threatened to do it my self, and since my mom being a Doctor, she tells me that ill get hepatitus c, ill get blood poisoning, etc. and plus, the place i live in, the price to get my nose pierced is 50$, i really don't have that kind of money, and i cant ask my parents because they'll not only say no, they'll know that I'm going to get it pierced!! what should i do?!?!?! i need some help!!!!

Ok, I had my nose pierced like about a year ago and I was SOO scared it was going to hurt. When i went in to get it done i was freaking out. The guy told me to relax and i tried my best to do so. He cleaned and and said on the count of 3 he would pierce my nose, i was like OMG!!! im scared. He said your eyes will water but it wont hurt that bad, i didnt believe him, but i was like okay im ready, he said 1,2, 3! and i didnt feel anything! i was like ok please get this over with i dont like to wait, and he was like its already done! so ive had my nose pierced for about a year and it hasnt gotten infected once all you need to do is clean it everytime you go into the shower.

hey everyone, i am 14.i just turned 14 in august and i got my tongue pierced when i had just turned 13, and i really wanted to get my navel pierced but they said i was too skinny and hadnt't been done growing. i was extremely bummed out about it and thats how i got my tongue pierced. so after that i got a job and have my own money, so i asked my mom if i could get my nose pierced and she said ok! so we when to a piercing parlor and the said if we didnt't have the same last name she would have to have a birth certificate, file for divorce, and proper ID with her last name that she had when she was married with my father, so i decided i didnt't want to wait forever so i did it by my self with a gold stud earing. i shouldnt have done it but i was very eager to get it done. it didnt't hurt at all. i clean it it up to 4 times a day to make sure nothing happens. that day i when the piercing parlor again to buy a real nose ring so i could clean it properly. the piercer saw it and i thought that he would get angry but he gave me a care sheet and its been fine ever since. even though i did it myself all you little 12 and 13 year olds wait. and make sure you get permission from your mother and or father. alwayz, ME!!!

I just got my nose pierced this week, having not done research or going to a trusted piercer...it was only 5 bucks and I think they used ear studs. I'm a bit nervous about what may happen, now that I've learned a bit more...infections, bacteria, scarring. It was on a whim though contemplated much beforehand. I'm in my early 20's and holding down a professional fulltime job, and the most trouble I've had is with my boss who is NOT pleased, and had a meeting with me today saying "If you had interviewed with that, I would not have hired you." But thankfully, he's keeping me on, but I have to prove myself again. So you kids who are contemplating nose rings or any other piercings, THINK about how it may affect your life and future and decisions. I thought a cute little nose ring would be nice, but the grief it's caused me isn't worth it. NOw I'm not sure if I should take it out yet or not, because possible infection and all that...there's my piece.

I got my nose pierced a while ago and it hurt, but not much more than if you were attempting to pull out a nose hair. It bled for a little, but after about 15 minutes it was fine. I find it really easy to care for...DO NOT PIERCE IT AT HOME! You can get a really large bump on your nose and it can get infected...Some won't go away. If you look around you can get it done for 35$ and they will know what to do if any problems arise, not to mention they can tell you how to care for it better. Also, don't pierce it with a gun because they hurt a lot more. The same goes with your cartilage. Just be careful, and think about it, the cheap (or lack there of a )price won't be remembered when you've got a ginormous pus lump on your nose because you did it at home. SO go somewhere!

ok i have my nose pierced and its been about a year now, i had gotten mine done with a gun so it went by very quickly but after i got it done people told me it wasn't good to get it done with a gun and i should of gotten it done with a needle..why i don't know..but i didn't feel a thing, if u have the top part of your ear pierced you can get your nose pierced its the same thing, outta my 11 piercing i'dhave to say my nose hurt the least..but if you want it done i suggest not doing it yourself,go get it done by a pro. some places you don't even need to get parents concent..you just go in and they do it for you, (how do you think i got 11 piercing?) my mother knew about them but she stopped caring after my third one :o)

I have had my nose pierced before. twice actually. I have pierced my tongue 4 times, eyebrow 3 times, and belly button twice. I currently only have ear piercings and my tongue ring. The nose was the worst for me. Even with the needle going through the scar tissue in my eyebrow. The nose piercing hurt the worst for me. I'm going to do it again though. I need some advice on where to find a stud that won't fall out. Maybe a nose twist. I want one that lies flat against my nose. Maybe a STAR or something. If you know where I can find one, email me please. Also.....where can I find a retainer for it? I always have to take out all of my piercings for work, but not this time. I'll just stick that retainer in it and they will have to deal with it. LOL! (mommylovesjet@yahoo.com)

I had my nose pierced a few months ago, to be honest I thought it would hurt because I got my ears done when I was 8 and remembered it hurting. I did a lot of research and checked out a lot of places before I actually got it done. I needed to feel comfortable with where I was going, anyways, my nose didn't hurt at all. I'm a wimp and even I thought it was painless. I think needles are way better than guns for piercing. However you can't use a gun for anything other than your ears...anyone who says you can is a retard. The only time my nose somewhat hurt was when I messed around with it to get the piercing stud out, that didn't even really hurt. It is by far the least painful piercing, probably why almost everyone has it done

hey. i got my nose pierced in december right around christmas. i got the bump that some people have been talking about. mine was a keloid. i got a cold soon after i got the piercing, and the piercer that i went to see thought that it was from blowing my nose, but i really didnt have a choice. it looked really bad for a while and i tried sea salt soaks, making an asprin paste, and neither really worked too good. finally i was about to take it out, and went back to see the piercer one more time. he told me not to give up on it quite yet, some take up to 6 months to heal really well. he ended up telling me to get tea tree oil. this significantly reduced it. it's still there but you cannot see it unless you look really close. the only downside to the tea tree oil is the smell, and that it cost me about $15 for a tiny bottle of it. but it lasts, so its not that bad.

My name Is ya Jocelyn and I'm 11 I have my nose pierced ad it didn't hurt one bit yes it will tingle thats because it just feels different girls do not pierce it yourself that could make your nose get really infected and for all you other girls if you go to get it done and they pull out a ear piercer say no thanks I heard it's a lot safer but needle if that ear piercer comes across you don't let them pierce it for you trust me on this I have had 9 piercing and I'm 11 and 10 piercing including my nose so do not let them use a gun and trust me you will cry a little but not badly just tears will come to your eyes and it will hurt for about 10-20 minutes so do not worry about anything love ya Jocelyn xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox Good Luck!~!

hey sup,, i just got my nose pierced April 1/05, so it still healing. when i went in they told me that it wouldn't hurt they ask you what kind of nose ring you would like, they get it ready while you fill out a sheet thing, you go in the back they show you everything that they use it's all in packages, then they have a nozel ting that they hold in your nose so that when they go to do it that the needle wont go through the other side, then they tell you to close your eyes and that it will water so i did and then the guy took the needle and started to push it through i held my breath and i did swear a bit ( if you have ever steped on a thumb tack before thats how it feels)then they put the nose ring in and thats it. It took only 2 min.And my eyes didn't even tear up( i don't know why, i guess every body is different. When it comes to cleaning it the best stuff to use is Spectro jell. but it will be sore for a few days. If anyone gets it done and they start to notice a but with in a week take one Advil crush it up mix a Lil bit of water with it so it's like a paste and put it on for 20-25min and it should be gone and if not go back to the place that you got it at and they can help you. i'mtwenty. as i look through these posts, it kinda freaks me out. you're not supposed to use alcohol OR peroxcide... use bactine or very mild soap. its very unsettling that such young girls are getting their noses pierced without any education. first of all... the sewing needles/safety pins you are using are much thinner than the needles they use to pierce noses... so i imagine you would have a very rough time sticking even an 18g ring into an ungaged hole in your nose. you all say that you pierce them yourself because your parents wont let you... what are they going to do after you pierce it? make you take it out,probably... and usually these piercings can heal over in a matter of hours. please, take my advice. it's VERY dangerous to be doing self piercings. just wait until you're 16 and have a parent go with you do a piercing/tattoo shop. it's much safer. sure, the thicker needles might hurt.. but like they say.. it's only like a pinch. i don't even remember the pain of my nose getting pierced, and it was just two days ago.

[what side should I get it on?] Get it on the side you like best, whether its your best looking side or the side your most comfortable with [Can I pierce it myself] You can, of course you can, but its highly UNRECOMMENDED! Piercers have to be licensed for a reason. Their are major veins/tissue/bone/cartilage running all through your body-its not recommended to pierce any part of your body alone especially if your 12. No offense but most 12 year olds aren't aware of their body as far as what veins/vessels/muscles are where etc heck some adults aren't. [Does it hurt?] Pain is different for everyone. One might say it does, another might say it doesn't. Usually if you go in there with the mind set that its going to hurt like hell, then you've already made up your mind. The actual pain from piercing only lasts as long as it takes to get the needle through. The healing process is what most consider to be the painful part. It is a little sore but more of a pain in the ass than a feeling of pain. [Piercing Gun or Piercing Needle] If someone offers to pierce your nose with a piercing gun whether it be business/professional or otherwise.. don't walk, but RUN out. [Parents say no, but I'm doing it anyway] 1-read above its not recommended to pierce yourself, or any non-professional for that matter. 2-so what you manage to get it pierced, just to get home and be told to take it out. Nothing has changed except the fact that your parents now don't trust you, and if they said you could have it when your 15, they've now moved it up to "you have to be 18".

Ok for you who use a gun. Usually YOU DON"T WANT IT! it's ment for your ears and your ears alone! Not for your eyebrow your tounge, navel none of that. AS for the DIY people out there : IF you hafta do it PLEASE PLEASE get a piercing needle. It is more sanitary and your piercing will heal better. #2. CLEAN the area your gonna do the piercing. There's a cleaning solution you should use to sanitize the surface your going to use for holding your tools. (The cleaning solution is located here : http://www.bmezine.com/diyp.txt) Also wash your hands and buy some gloves (like latex if your allergic to latex just wash your hands throughly) 3# the the area to be pierced and for example like your nose put a cork in your nose. I know sounds stupid but would you rather have a cut on the inside of your nose along with a fresh new piercing? i thought so... So ya enjoy. Spend your money or be a fool it's your choice.

Hi, I'm 14 years old and just recently my Mum agreed that I can get my nose pierced, at the same place where she had her tattoo done a few days ago. The catch? I have to do well on my SATS. Well I really like the tiny crystal nose studs, they look so pretty. I just found out that it will cost me �6.50 to be pierced with a gun, �25 with a needle - the guy who is doing it recommended the gun, he says that all this stuff about them ruining your nose is rubbish. I already have three holes in my ears, plus my cartilage and one retired bellybutton piercing - I want my nose doing because I won't have to flash my tummy to show it and they look so pretty and feminine. for all those people wanting to do it themselves - DON'T. You can end up with a raised scar. Save a few bucks and go to a decent parlour, it isn't worth it to mess up your face.

Hey! I rele wanted my nose pierced last yr... My parents said no over and over again.. I tried to see if the temptation would pass and it didn't. I am now 15 and I got it dont 5 months ago. It hurt for me but not as much as I expected,but it did feel like a burning sensation. i looked after it and got infected and I didnt read the lable on the antiseptic bottle so I then used salt water and it was fine. My school on the other hand do not like it and would do anything to get rid of it. ha ha ha no chance. My advise is to look after the piercing, bathe it in salt water and do not touch ur nose coz there are germs on ur hands, wash ur hands with antibiotic handwash first and ull be ok after that...

I read all of these post, and most of them made me laugh...Getting your nose pierced is like a really bad pinch and then for the first 30 mins it just burns. If you wash your face with something other than anti bacterial soap...i wash my face first and then clean the piercing, with anti bacterial Dial soap and bactine the spray on kind. Its harder to clean that then your bellybutton, and I too touch my nose by accident forgetting that it is there. It's still kind of new for me. Also I think now a days alot of places use needles instead of the gun.. The needle probably is easier, since the gun might not be able to go through all the way, so it might take more than one try..and with the hoop, the stud looks more tasteful esp. on girls. For you 12-15 year olds...When I was your age.. my parents wouldn't't even let me get my bellybutton pirced..dont go against your parents will..they will be so mad! just wait until you are legal age. Peace out..and for all you getting it done IT DOSENT HURT!

I didn't get my nose peirced by a piercer, but by a friend who has been training to become a nose piercer. I suggest to all of you out there who are thinking of piercing your nose yourselves to go out and by a proper piercing needle which is disposable. Don't use a safety pin, because they are not sharp enough and its dirty. But I do agree with the post above, if you are 12, wait till at least you are 15. Get your nose pierced with a needle,because guns cannot be sterilized and they can shatter and crack your cartilage, which makes the healing process longer and more painful. It can also cause you to get a huge lump on your nose which is gross. And for those of you who are trying to convince there mums, do some research on nose peircings, organize your arguments and get a few pictures of what you want done! Sit down and discuss it with your parents in a civilized manner, and don't throw a tanty if you don't get your way. Let your parents think about it for a while, and if they say no, try again a month or two later.

I'm an average 15 year old, I have written TONS of responses on this website and I have received thousands of emails. I am not much help, but a lot of people say I am. I have 8 piercing's, two in my nose, and I have for 4 years. Well, I will start from the very beginning. When you first get the piercing, the initial pain isn't that bad, it is a stinging that goes away after a couple of hours. It's not a good idea to use a regular earing, as it will turn green. Also, do not use aluminum, tin, iron or surgical steel unless you want to clean it 6 times a day LoL. If you use gold or silver it has to be cleaned 3 times a day for the fist 6 weeks, then daily for the first 6 months, with peroxide. Do not use alcohol and after the first 6 months soap and water works just as well daily. Although at the end of every week you should still use peroxide. Do not put a back in your stud, as it will not only rip the hairs out of your nose Laughs it will cause alot of problems and pain. There is also a thing that people worry about called "The Bump", it occurs when stress is applied to the piercing and usually occurs when you lose your stud (during sleep or another activity when you may brush against the nostril) and you force it, or another, back in your nose. This will also happen if you change the gage of your stud, stretching the cartilage (which I do not recommend). If you develop "The Bump" then your nose will have a small red bump (duh) that is just swelling. If you put a back on your nose and the swelling occurs then it will probably form skin around the back of your stud and it will be really painful taking the back off. To get rid of this minor problem use a hot/cold compress for 15 minutes twice a day. Some people find wearing a band-aid over it when you sleep helps, as it completely elimanates the possibility of getting "The Bump". If you have any other questions, Write me back or add me to MSN. I'm 21 I have several piercing I did my self, I have also pierced the ears of every person in my 6 person household. I have done some research DO NOT LET ANYONE PIERS YOU WITH A PIERCING GUN. they can not clean them. if you clean your piercing with hydrogen peroxide it will dry out and hurt use salt and watter and make sure the salt has no additives. YOUR PIERCING IS AN OPENED WOUND DO NOT TOUCH IT UNTIL YOUR HANDS ARE CLEAN!!!!!!!! IF YOUR DOING IT YOUR SELF clean everything your going to use. do a 1 2 3 and just do it try not to think about it. make sure you have something inside your nose so the needle doesn't poke the other side of your nose. TRY NOT TO USE A safety pin or a needle or a tack thay are a pore grade mettle and you could have an allergic reaction. if at all passable order a piercing needle off the Internet. don't use an earing use a gold (you maybe allergic to other mettles) nose ring stud. clean it at least once a day with a mild unscented soap and it in warm salt water the warmth will help with any pain. IF YOU ARE TRYING TO HIDE TI first it hurts to piers anything and there's a good chance your parents will find most piercing and i would say its not worth the pain, chance of infection and scar tissue (that will make it hurt worse when you are 18) to have it for a week and then have you dad rip the thing rite out of your noise (what my dad said he would do to me and my sisters if we EVER pierced our nosies) THE BEST WAY I HAVE HERD TO HIDE A NOISE PIERCING fishing line put a knot in 1 or both ends. try to get some thats close to the thickness of a stud because the whole can heal smaller than a stud that will make it hard to get one in.

hey ppl well b4 today i was shaking at the thought of getting my nose peirced BUT i wanted it so bad, so wen i finally came up with $45 bucks i bookd and appointment to get it done, the appointment was in one hour from wen i bookd it,4 that hole hour i felt sik and wanted to throw up, i got into the salon and was shaking a bit, i went into the room and the lady said its only needle here and i was terrorfied as i thought i was getting gun, she explained for 30 mins about nose peircings and so on, i was still afraid i lay there and closed my eyes she peirced my nose put the stud in and cleaned it, I WAS RELEIVED omg ppl there is nothing to be afraid of it stings for 2 seconds and its done, i am so glad i got the needle because so many rumors are going around that the gun is dangerous, so Please be inspired by my story lol and email me for any Q's, its mz_qween_bee@hotmail.com

I really don't think that getting their nose pierced qualifies them as "sluts"... lol. I wouldn't do it at twelve, but that's just me and I know that the school system would make me take it out or something. (im 20) I just got mine pierce a few days ago and it wasnt as painful as the tongue piercing or navel piercing for me. My eyes teared up slightly and I could feel the needle going through, but it wasn't that bad. It only cost me $35. They used a plain needle as opposed to the gun. I'm not sure of their reason behind it, but I've only had the gun used on me to do the first holes in my ears. (The second ones I did myself in 7th or 8th grade) If you're going to get it done I highly recommend getting it done by a professional. Make sure that they are licensed to do it and that they use a brand new needle on you. (I wouldn't want some new person trying it on me lol) About the Phisoderm face wash, you can still use it, but dont clean the part of your nose with the piercing on it just in case. You're not supposed to use anything with alcohol in it (if it contains it), but then wash your pierced area with whatever your piercer recommends. I personally clean mine with a q-tip and some anti bacterial soap... seems to work pretty well for now, but my nose is a bit dry around the piercing. Can't really put moisterizer on it. ;'(

I'm getting my nose pierced as soon as my grades get up.My grades used to be really bad.So for years now my parents have been trying to get me to make good grades.My parents are really desprate now,they would do anything to get me to make good grades(even getting my nose pierced).So,I told them I would make good grades If they got me a nose ring/stud.They said yes!!It's such a miracle. If you are making bad grades...try this!! ......................................... And,also,I don't personally recommend piercing yourself.I have stuck a needle through my:Nose,Eyebrow,Lip.It didn't hurt that bad.Exept I sneezed alot when I got to the inside layer of my nose. ............................................I did all of my cartlagle peircing myself,with an earing.

My Mom is going to let me get my nose pierced. I am a model and I am afraid that it will ruin my career...but my friends have theirs done. I am not afraid of needles and I take pain very well. I have my ears pierced 3 times on each side, and I have my cartilage done. I also don't want to look too hard and punk, because thats not who I am. but I need help. and some advice to everyone out there DO NOT PIERCE ANYTHING YOURSELF!!!!!!!! It is so bad for you. i pierced my eyebrow and my belly button on my own and it is bad. I did mine right but there is a major chance that it will get infected. you will lose respect of your parents also, and they won't let you get one done. so just respect your parents. wait until they are ready!!! I need help though with my nose! thank you sooo much!

hey! im 14 years old..i got my nose periced about 6 weeks ago... ive been wanting it for about over a year and i kept asking my mom if i can get it done and she kept saying no not until your 16... so then we sall a girl with a little bity stud and my mom loved it!!!!! so i waas soo happy that my mom approved! but then the next challenge was "what would my friends think" i asked all my friedns and some said Go for it sarah!!!and then some said NOO!! dont do it!!!! but it was something i wanted to do,. and i did it!!! it didnt hurt that bad at all...my eyes did tear up alittle... that next monday at school...EVERYONE LOVED IT!!! so i have no regrets on getting it periced.... i changed it for the first time yestarday..IT didnt hurt. it was just sore... But when i didnt have it in.. i looked soo werid without it... so over all i dont regret getting it done! i love it!!!!!(= (=

Omg... let them do what they want. If it comes down to it, they can take out the piercing. You don't even know them and who the hell said piercings make you a slut. I'm getting my nose and tongue done tomorrow. I'm hyped... Anyway, don't do it yourself. Chances are it'll get infected and you'll lose a hefty chuck of your nose. Save your money, go behind your parents backs before you do it at home. Worst comes to worst, you get grounded. I'll tell tomorrow if it hurts. About the prices, they really range, I have a friend who got their tongue done for 20 bucks, uber cheap. I'm paying 90 for mine.. just an ex about the range. Call a place before you ask people on the Internet, another good tip...

Hey there. I just asked my mom today if i could get my nose pierced and she's on the fence. I'm pretty sure she will say yes though. I am a 14 year old girl and Ive waited for this for so long and I'm glad i did. If i were 12 and thin king about getting my nose pierced, I'd give it a few months, do your research, and DO NOT pierce it yourself!!!!! I stress that, once again, DO NOT PIERCE YOUR NOSE BY YOURSELF. get it done professionally for your own sake. It will become infected if you don't do it right. My friend peirced it herself and it became infected and now she has this big blood blister on her nose and it's been there for a couple years! Anyways. Make sure that when you do get your nose peirced make sure that it is in a clean, steral building.

I searched around the Internet and found out some pretty interesting stuff. 1) Your nose may bleed, for a few minutes after. 2) The healing process is fairly painless. 3) NEVER do it yourself, you may cause awful infections in your nose. 4) Use a needle, I beg of you. Using a gun can cause fatal infections cause your nose nerves are connected to your brain. All of the people on here that have done it to themselves and to their friends, are complete idiots. Go to an actual piercing shop, a body piercing shop. If you are getting in done by a safety pin or an ear gun or if you are somewhere that that is how they do it, turn around and walk out the door. This is your face, infections occur not only by cleaning it properly, but by getting it pierced in the wrong way. Go somewhere that does body piercings (naval, lips, eyebrows, industrials, gauges, etc.) I paid 40$ for mine and I've had it done since december and it is great. If you aren't of age, just wait, there is no sense in possibly harming your face for a little stud for your nostril. Yes, it hurts, but there are piercings that hurt worse, like industrials. As it is cartilage, it would hurt more, but our nose is too. Be safe, and clean it with BACTINE, and get actual nose jewelry for it, NOT EARRINGS! Hope this helps. Be safe, and if your parents say no, don't do it yourself, and if you want to screw up your face like that, go ahead, but don't hurt your friends like that.

im 13 and my dad is taking me n my best friend 2 get our noses pirced in 2 dayz and i need 2 know a couple things how much dose it hurt how much if the avredge cost how can i prevend infection and is there n e type of water i should avoid after i get my nose pirced(beach water, sea water,pool water) ppl plz b hounist my mom realy dosnt want me 2 get this done cuz my friend thats going with me got an infection on her navel it was like a bump that got bigger and she had 2 get a thick needel stick threw it a couple times n i watched it get done n i have never seen her cry so much.im worried ill have 2 have that done 2 my face ao...HELP

um...i just turned 13 and i'vewanted my nose pierced since i was like 6 my grandpa is the one who told me it would look cute and i'vewanted one ever since.Well my mom told me it was ok with her but my dad said not until your 16.So i said no more,but this year for my birthday they gave me a little box and inside was a slip of paper that said this coupon is good for 1 free piercing in nostrel of choice and it was in my dads hand writing!!!i am so happy but i'mnervous and don't want people who have known me forever,since i was a baby,to think man what happened to her, and most of the people i'mworried about are older so they defiantly would not approve.But my aunt is getting hers done w/me and its only costing $35,one more thing i would advise not doing it yourself or w/out parents permission,it just gets u into trouble and infections!!

hi erm well i had my nose pierced before christmas but the school wudnt allow it so i took it out for school using a metal nose stud which wasnt hygenic as it was not sterillised and after a while a bubble formed full of pus and blood and went septic so i had to squeze the lot out and the pain was unbearable so i ledt it and got it pierced agin 3 days ago and now ive got the good nose stud in because i have 6 weeks to give it time to be permanent as i'm on my summer holidays all the piercer has told me to do was to wipe vaseline on it twice a day i've had some bleeding and it feels slightly bruised as it was in the same place before i strongly recomend NOT doing ur nose urself :D tarah xxx

I have put alot ofthought into getting my nose pierced,and I really do want it.I have done my research,and am 14 years old,have hit puberty,and and not a prepubescent sluts.I'm sure all those 12 year olds are not aswell,and I think it's wrong to label those whome of which you don't know. The only thing is that my parents aren't okay with it until I am atleast 16,and even then it is a maybe.Please let me know how to let my parents know it is NOT a life sentence,and that I am NOT throowing away my professional image;nose studs of the smaller type are becoming more acceptable in the working world any how. well im 15 years old and i have a total of 15 piercings : left ear - industrial (barbell going through top of ear) and 5 studs ; right ear - 7 studs ; and bellybutton. i extremely want my nose done but my mom said no. to her, my face is her face till i turn 18 lol. but i was thinking about doing it myself. almost everyday i go on BMEzine.com and look at piercings and i know QUITE a lot about them. i know how to clean them because of previous piercings but some of you guys are suggesting icing it? i have never done that and i did all my piercings myself except industrial and belly. im prob gonna pierce it myself soon. like 5 minutes lol. b/c my mom is very retarded and wont notice. the only thing is the only nose stud i have is a diamond and im afraid the light will catch on it and she will be like wtf. eh. well hear it goes. i will ice it just to try it out. <3

hi, 1818, and i have had over 30 piercing, i have 24 in my ears and 2 in my belly botten, i have had my bellybotten done 5 times, my lip twice and my eye brow once, and i'mgetting my nose done today. i have done every single peircing myslelf, i dont reccommend it, i have had sometraining, howver for you girls at like 12 years old, you should know that your nose never stops growing, and you should wait until you are fully developed before you get it done, because it could stretch, pull and tare. doing your own peircings is dangerous, yet easier in a way, just be smart, and if you have to think twice about doing it that generally means DONT DO IT! hope this helps some of you, just be smart about what you do

Guys, PLEASE don't do it yourselves. i could never bring myself to risk LOSING my nose. DON'T use peroxide OR alcohol: this will dry out the piercing and stop it healing. use warm salt water, or preferably the stuff that you can get at the piercing studio. no good studio will let you get a piercing without telling you how to care for it. and you lot are VERY young by the way...12 is not really old enough to decide to mutilate yourself...surprised you're even legally allowed. i got my nose done at Reading Festival just after i turned 17. wouldn't have done it without checking the studio was completely clean, and used sterilised equipment etc. DONT touch. Dont crape the blood from around the hole away, bathe it in warm salt water (not too salty, think of an egg cup, put in a pinch).

hey, i had mine done about a May time now and it was just an impulse piercing, normally i would think about it ALOT but i just decided i wanted it one night so the next day i went out to get it. i have a few piercings already (15 in total) so i know what to expect and i know where to go. i always go back to my piercer he has done most of my piercings and ive never had a problem with any of them and they are pretty hard core piercings. so before you do anything make sure u know your going to a safe salon!!! any way you'll go into the salon and they'll mark up where they're going to put it and if you dont like it you can move it slightly. now i was really really nervous about getting this done as its a piercing on your face and as he holds the needle right by your face it is a bit scary , and to be totally honest yes it does hurt quite alot more than any ear piercing but its well worth the result. i had no complications or troubles with mine and i absolutely love it!! so i recommend it! good luck!

K well im 15 (16 in like 3 weeks) anyway i really want my nose done but im really worried about the piercing migrating.. i really really dont want that to happen cause its just gross.. so could someone plz tell me if this has ever happend to them? And also for those who are trying to convince parents just be like, would you ever let me get a tattoo? and they would probly say no and then just be like k well then can i get my nose pierced plz? (then you go on about the info you found out about it and stuff) and then say you dont have to give me an answer right now but just plz think about it. (then you run away into your room or something before they have a chance to say anything) lol

hey ladies. im 19 and ive had my nose pierced twice (the first time i let my dad pressure me into taking it out... if someone tries it on you, dont listen. its a pain in the ass to get it done again.) so, this time i went to a really awesome girl to get it done. she took forever getting ready because she cleaned everything so well. she wore gloves and a face mask and put a thin sheet of gauze over my face. she even disinfected the stud in this huge machine before she put it in. definitely wait until you find someone like her, because my first piercing got infected because some random guy did it and didnt really do much to prep me. so, that being said, its my advice, if you are going to get your nose pierced, to look online for the most reputable and cleanest piercer near you. also, my first stud was the typical twistable screw, but now i have a different kind which i really love. its just got two balls on either end (if you have this, DONT PULL to get it out!!!!! its probably a twistable stud like mine and you have to twist the gem to get it off. then you pull it out from the inside! if youre still confused email your piercer and ask him/her how) and its true, dont touch it. if you get a bump like i did (which mysteriously disappeared after i got kneed in the face last night) my piercer said to use unbleached chamomile teabags. make sure they are unbleached, but then make tea as per usual and take the tea bag out, soak your piercing like once a day. i trust her, i think its a better idea than taking the damn thing out. and you 12 year olds really do need to wait until your parents think youre up for it, or until youre old enough to get away from them. its a big thing and it could mess up job prospects for some things, just keep it in mind and dont be too hasty.

well i just had my nose pierced yesterday it hurt like hell I'monly 13 and i am so glad it is over now.but don't read this and then say noway not having it done. it does hurt alot but when it is done you will be sooo glad that u did lol.it is suppose to be the most painful. but i don't know if it is true oh well!! anyway anyone if you are thinking about getting it done just ask me my email is little_liz4u@hotmail.com goodluck anyway if you are having it done . I'm getting my nose done tomorrow at club tattoo... its $40 I'm scared but its something i really want done so im willing to sit there!!... i talked to the man who is going to do it for me and he said if you have your ears done there you have nothing to be scared about!!.. i also have a tattoo.. and im 18... for all you younger girls... dont try to grow up so fast!!!... wait till you can get it done by someone who knows what they are doing.. don't take the chance to hurt yourself!!! its really not worth it... i made the mistake of getting my belly done at 13 and its now ripped out!!!... becuase i was to young and did not know how to clam down!!.. dont try to grow up to fast wait till you can enjoy it!!...AND DON'T DO IT YOURSELF!! YOU CAN REALLY END UP HURTING YOURSELF!!!...take it from someone older and WAIT!! you can enjoy it more when you are old enough to get it done!!!!

Hey! I just got my nose pierced. Don't listen to these girls about the whole age thing. I am only 12. Honestly it didn't hurt. It felt like alot of pressure then a pinch. It makes your eyes water. And when the needle is through your nose, your skin around it tightens up. I am not going to lie. The hardest part is when he or she is putting the jewlery in your nose. It stings a bit more. But after the whole process it is completley painless.The whole thing takes about 11 to 15 seconds. Make sure you only wash it with plain DIAL soap 2 to 3 times a day. ANYTHING else will make an infection. And no makeup in, next to, or around your piercing because it WILL most likely cause infection. xxx Good Luck. Jess

I got my nose pierced back in October. It didn't hurt as bad as I expected, but it did sting as the needle went through. After that, I was fine. I just cleaned it a couple times a day with bactine (and clean q-tips) and had no problems. It did get a little sore the first time I changed it (it takes some practice to get the nostril screws in). All in all, I thought that it was a lot less painful than getting my ears pierced.

hi I'm twelve and i want to get my nose pierced!Ive been searching all over the Internet for advise about getting it done. of course my mom wont let me get it done till i move out.lol.well i wont to know all about it and hear stories from everybody that has gotten it done. i just hope it wont hurt too bad..

I have had my nose pierced twice,And and i have 6 others. your nose will not hurt all that bad but it Will sting and make you eyes water. And for you 12 year olds don't pierce it yourself .Wait till your of age and get it done. and as for taking care of it....dont over clean it and use a Q-tip.As for me i haven't really cleaned mine all that much and I'm sure i should but for me washing my face in the morning and as night is good enough. But you may be different so when you 1st get it take good care of it

I am 12 also and my mom wont let me get it until im 15 so..... and im turning 13 so its pretty close to time (lol) um........ i know how to clean it but i wanna know what do they use when the do it do they use a gun like the did on your ears? i have 5 pierceings on my ear and that did not hurt.... do they take a needle and just jab it threw i dont kno ? so if you got a answer for my questions please reply (H.E.L.P).....

I pierced my nose myself 2 weeks ago, i clean it everyday and i have a real nose ring in it, if you pierce it yourself do not put a regular earing in it, and if you do, dont try and but the backing on it, and when cleaning it, dont use hydrogen peroxide! it really doesnt hurt that bad if you ice your nose up, it really does numb it, and doing it myself saved me 40 bucks from lettting some stanger hammer a nail in my nose, and i bet it would have hurt more if i did it professionally. so just go for it. its not a big deal trust me.

It does not hurt what so ever I have my nose tonge my belly button and my eyebrow done and out of the all the only one that did not hurt was the nose but if you still think it will hurt go to were you are going to get your nose done and ask them were to get some kind of freezing and qait for a bout halg an hour and then go get it done if you are woundering haw I got my nose peirced is my mother went and got hers done at the same time as me she said it hurt is a wossy those so Happy peircing and every body looks goog with a nose ring

I got my nose pierced about 7 months ago. I thought it would hurt a lot more then it did. It did sting some...but not too bad. As far as cleaning I used some antibacterial soap and some q-tips and cleaned it about twice a day, for about a month...now I clean as needed. You know like when you wash your face or something. Overall I am glad I did it. The whole healing process itself is painless.

If you're gonna get ur nose pierced........... DO NOT do it yourself. You could end up putting the needle in too far, and a gun should NOT be used as it is dangerous!!! Go with a friend or your parents and just have fun. Remember to do some thorough research!

i pierced my nose last night by myself. I numbed it for awhile and i used a safety pin. USE A REAL NOSE STUD!! dont try to put an ear ring in it. you can get nose studs at walmart or claires. dont use peroxide to clean it rubbing alcohol is better or bactine. It doesnt hurt that bad at all i think it hurt less than my ears by far its easy and dont be scared

Hey I got my nose pierced in March, it didnt hurt at all and my eyes didnt even water it only bled. Since then I've pierced a couple of my friends noses you just kinda stick it through u'llknow wat to do when it comes down to it. Well ne ways I wanna change my nosering but the screws are all hard to get out and stuff and i keep stabbing myself..well thats all for now except it took forever to convince my parents to let me do it. More my mom then my dad my dads all like if u want it do w/e its ur face.

hi i have had my nose pierced for a while now and when i first got it done it was easy to take out but now i cant seem to get the damn thing out cuz it has a little ball on the end that i have to pull through the hole if anyone knows how to get it out please tell me!

hey Im 15 and I pierced my nose myself a few months ago with a saftey pin. Its doing good except it used to keep falling out I was gonna use a nose scew but th e little buggers are so hard to get in. Anyway the best advice I can give anyone getting there nose pierced is DO NOT clean it with peroxide or alcohol or anything like it because it will severly dry out the piercing soak it in salt water!!!

Hey im ellie, and iv had my nose pierced for a few months now. I'm just sayiong that it honestly doesnt hurt, its only a little pinch for about 5 seconds. If you get ur nose dun by the gun and wanted a new nose ring/stud ur size would be 18 gauge ring, if u get it done by the needle ur a 20 gauge ring.

Hey all, dont be like that you nasty bugger!!! Im just doing it myself now. If you do it properly yourself (using a sterilised needle, Antibacterial wash, cotton buds) then I dont see what the risks are! As soon as I have finished piercing my nose Im going to clean it morning, lunchtime and nighttime with the Antibacterial wash. Im not gonna catch Hepititis C or get Blood Poisoning as Im piercing up to professional standards anyway! As long as you do it properly, I dont see why you shouldnt do it yourself, it saves you money and you can do it in your own time. Deli xxx

You guys should use salt water, there is a solution called Salt H2O, my piercer said do not use neosporin or antibactirial soap b/c it kills good germs as well as bad germs and it dries it up.
