I have a 98' Neon DOHC ... with strange set of symptoms... The NEON fuel pump would cut out,,, checks of the fuels pump showed it good but had intermittent power... when the engine would stall a mere shaking of the wiring harness between the relay block and the PCM would restore it. Long searches have not identifies any broken wires.. PCM contacts have been cleaned, as well as, all relay sockets.

Now the problem has gotten worse and the diagnostic codes show 12 and 43... after re-seating the PCM connectors it works for a bit and then returns to the stumbling misfiring state.

Any ideas? Could this be a bad PCM ... or wiring harness?

Actually I'm having the same problem with mine. It draws the codes 1-2  4-3 4-3 5-5

I know 5-5 means that the diagnostic is over. but what is 1-2 and 4-3?

The 12 code is just the mark that your battery has been disconnect in the last 50 starts, so it doesn't matter, and now you have just one problem the code 43. Good Look.

Check inside of the power distributor (where the relays and etc are) sounds like a loose connection or short inside of it.
