Are pregnant cats supposed to recieve vaccines when they are pregnant, I was told by 2 cat specialist Vets that vaccinating a pregnant cat will cause death of kittens or birth defects.

This is true, never vaccinate your cat when she is pregnant, as this can cause serious problems with the kittens, often resulting in death or severe brain damage

You gave your cat shots while she was pregnant?

Claaar, cats walk around with their tails up all the time. It's a normal behaviour.

A cat can get pregnant at its first heat, usually around six months of age but sometimes even younger!  Get your cat spayed to prevent medical problems.  A cat in heat will rub on things, become quite affectionate and keep her tail in the air or over her back much of the time, often crouching on the ground with chest down and rump up.

Once she's pregnant, you can use some types of wormer for a couple of days, but this isn't advisable.  And don't get her vaccinated, no matter what.  If she gets vaccinated when she's pregnant, it's as cLaRa said; the kittens can die or be born with major birth defects, among other things.

ALSO DO NOT get her vaccinated while she's nursing.  The reason for this, other than that it can make the kittens sick, is that it will make them temporarily immune to disease... which will also inhibit their first sets of shots from being effective.  In other words, if you vaccinate a nursing cat, vaccinations then given to the kittens will be useless.
