I am installing a 12 volt system using 12 volt batteries and solar panels in my house in addition to the 120 volt system.  Are there any electrical codes or guidelines that I need to follow with the 12 volt system?  Is the wire or recepticals different than 120 volt?

IN A 12 VOLT SYS YOU NEED TO USE BIGGER WIRE
A LIGHT AT 120 WATTS IN A 12VOLT SYS IS 10 AMPS BUT A LIGHT AT 120 WATTS IN A 120 VOLTS SYS IS 1 AMP.
I WOULD USE 220 VOLTS PULGS FOR THE 12 VOLTS SYS SO YOU DONOT PLUGE THEM INTO A 120 VOLT PLUGE
