u may be possibly be burnin oil and one of ur pistonh is not firing on compression(spark plug not firing) therefore oil is being expelled tru the exhaust valve into the egr and tru the exhaust manifold. check ur pcv valve and make sure its not stuck closed. when u do this and correct the problem( may be ur valve stem seals that r broken and thats y its burning oil)make sure u replace the egr valve

That is the dumbest answer i've ever heard.  EG stands for exhaust gas which means if, what oz was saying is true then the oil would be burned off in the exhaust manifold.

I have a '92 Dodge dynasty that acts like it isn't getting gas, it bucks and looses power,  give it gas and it speeds up then slows down, rattles and surges . I have had wires replaced to the cencors, tune up and new wires, it drove good for 300 miles and is doing the same thing again. What could be causing this? I have had it put on th computer, no indication of problems and the check engine lite doesn't come on when it is acting up.

the egr valve needs to be replaced, and you will need to replace the pcv valve because that is what most likely cause the egr valve to go bad, and check all you hoses and replace as needed, change your oil and filter.....
