Does anyone know the actual location of "the manor"? I have seen it in other movies and would love to know where it is.

The 'real' Halliwell Manor is actually located not in San Francisco but in L.A.
It can be found on Carroll Avenue, a public street near Echo Park. It is one of a number of Victorian homes preserved here.
The exact address is 1329 Carroll Avenue, about a mile northeast of downtown Los Angeles.

Hello! In the un-aired pilot they used the real house interior for the show and in the transcripts there it saids the manor is  located in sutro heights (san fransisco)

But anyway does anyone know a site with halliwell manor floor plans??

I visited the actual location of the Charmed house last month when I was in Los Angeles.  The address is 1329 Carroll Avenue and it's located in a neighborhood called Angelino Heights (right off of Sunset Boulevard)and near Echo Park.  I have posted a recent picture of the house at my Xanga weblog (http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=karenbabi&nextdate=10%2f17%2f2003+19%3a51%3a32.910&direction=n).  The whole street has been designed as a historic site and all the houses have that Victorian era style.

Thats not the real #, cuz real phone #'s have 10 numbers in it. Pluse also real numbers dont start off with 555.

i have been to the actual house and I've  been inside and they sugar code what its
REALY like But they have the attic blocked off with tape and i also bought the Book of shadows on ebay under(books) then

The real address of the manor is 1329, carroll ave, los angeles. but the address that they use in the movie is 1329, Prescott street,san francisco.

Yes I have alot of halliwell manor pictures. Most of the real manor. I have a hobby. I have some handmade blueprints i have made by myself. They are really  nice.  Some day when i'm over 20' i will build my own halliwell manor. It will be so cool. My grandpaais a carpenter. So he can make the nice parts. Have geminigal_531 been in the second floor? that luckypig. maybe next year i will visit the manor and take over 300 pictures. Backyard kitchen,dinning room livingroom bathroom office second floor everything. I just hope the owner is really nice. Because i really wants to see the hole real manor. I think there is many others that have the same idea. I really love the real manor.

I am going to LA for my honeymoon in July, The house is my first priority on this trip. So If there is any thing i need to know, like is there an owner of the house or is it open to the public for tour? Really And I plan on showing all of these pictures on the net when I return with the permission of the owner of course for all the die-hard charmed fans like my self. So any help would Greatly be appreciated. Also a stop in San Fransisco to find where they film is a priority also. Great Honeymoon huh! Thanks for helping.

Its so cool to see so many other people love the Charmed House as well :-D I told my friend its my goal in life to build one of my own, and she called me crazy, but I don't care. I am going to build one, so can someone please send me everything, any blueprints or pictures or anything at all, it would be greatly appreciated. My addy is Kaia_17@hotmail.com.

I live in Los Angeles ,I do extra work, saw the taping of season finale, plus the back lot, I have photos of the seer's cage in which she stole the baby out of Phoebes womb, also went to 1329 Carroll Avenue, met the owner's son who was extremely nice, and took a few photo's the lighting was bad, although I and my 3 sister's (how crazy huh) we are going to take some photo's there next month in June, to replicate the photo Grams took of them , it will be awesome (plus my friend works for special effects for charmed and said he can make our bodies move in closer together like they did in the season 1 episode when Phoebe was reading the book.

Great house, truly , although I prefer the plans from the studio which make the house larger inside also plus the solarium.  
The owner's son (gentleman in his 30's ) tells me that they used the house across the way for the attic, and the interior of the rooms from the one next to it combined with the layout with larger rooms In the 1329 Carroll ave (prescott st.)  I am waiting for a vacancy in an apartment  (the son's father owns 4 houses down from the charmed house)  Great neighborhood, friendly people, beautiful homes.

to find pictures you go to any search engine and type in charmed, click images, and then go. and the filming actual goes on around the house and some inside the house and on set.

Finnaly ahve found people taht LOVE the Charmed Manor[s] aswell!  My god, anyone whos been to see either Manor is VERY lucky....i live in Wales and there its a bit of a problem for me to get over to LA!!  If anyone has any blueprints of the studio house could you please email me at, chocolatejesusdrip@hotmail.com

By the way Pheebz in America the house phone numbers do start with 555 but you wouldnt think they would!, and in America also sometimes they dont hav 10 digits!!! God I Love Charmed!!!

O.k. everyone who says it is in L.A. is incorrect. That is just one that looks like the Halliwell Manor, but is not. If you are a true Charmed fan you would not be tricked by that imitation. If you are a Charmed fan you would know that the Halliwell Manor has its driveway one the right of the house when you come out off the front door. The one that everyone is saying is in L.A. has the driveway on the left side of the house when you come out of the house. If you dont think soo look at pictures and watched Charmed. The actual house is in San Francisco on Prescott and Pine. But the actuall taping of Charmed is done in the WB Studio. The house is only for outside shots. :)

hey i LOVE charmed i watch it all the time
i am confussed (and a blonde lol) i thought there might have bin two houses and they kinda recreated one very similar and filmed in that one!! because the amount of scences they do outside is quite a lot!! can u just knock on the door and go in!!?

The outdoor scenes in Charmed of the manor, are of the real house. In some episodes when the door is open, you will see that it's totally different inside then we see it. Where the door is, there is some wall directly behind it, and you will see the girls walk down that hall, mainly in the series 1 and 2 final, and "Is there a woogy in the house?"
They film in insides in a studio. The owner of the actual manor allowed them to film outside but not inside, which is understandable.

Hey you guys um this is for anyone who's been at the actual manor in L.A. The exterior shots of the manor are located somewhere outside of L.A. however the interiors are a studio set based on the actual interior of the house.  The unaired pilot of the show (starring Lori Rom as Phoebe) is filmed inside the house and while the decor and many of the features are similar, the actual house is MUCH smaller than the studio set.

Just to clear things up, "The Manor" is located at 1329 Carroll Avenue in Los Angeles. People actually live in that house and it is only shot for the exterior shots. The interior is a studio and does not reflect what the actual house looks like on the inside. If you pay attention to the exterior of the house then all the rooms and floors that the interior has, you can tell that there is no way the interior and exterior come from the same house. Its just not possible. Both the real house and the studio interior are just beautiful in any event. And we are in the process of building our house to look like the Manor. Both interior and exterior so in the end the exterior will look different but hopefully we will be able to still have it look noticeably like the "Halliwell Manor".

First of all, there is no attic in the real Charmed house, you shouldn't be giving out the name of the owner, because it isn't your business to do so. I know this forum is old but i thought i'djust say so. I'vbeen in the entire Charmed house, there isn't an attic, and it wasn't "roped" off, because it doesn't EXIST!!!!!! if you have any more questions please e-mail me at lostrcalyra@aol.com

I would really like to get all and any floor plans of the manor, real and studio. Also, any pictures of all of the floors, rooms, kitchen, bathrooms, outside and anything at all anyone can send me would be amazing.                             i dont care what any body say i am the number1 fan cause i have actually met holly,allyssa and rose and theyve sent me about a zillion copy's of every episode i was actually on one of the episode's well only on the background,when the sisters walked in to a office when they dissapeared after vanqueshing zancu so ha ha and i know the actual address of the manor and phone number and allysas,holly and rose's mobile number and house so if you think you know charmed then think again,ymm do you know what holly is allergic to?,do you know rose's fav food or allysa's car.ha LOSERS
and they set the movie in the manor not in some studio,so if youve got any questions about the sisters or anything about charmed ask the pro me!,oh and ive got a photo of every single episode and there personal photos so remmember im always here and no asking personal questions because im not allowed to tell any of you there personal things

Did you know that Carroll Avenue was also the street the Michael Jackson shot some of the video for THRILLER. It's true and he also used one of the houses' in the street for the interior scene at the end.

I really want to visit the manor......So somebody actually lives there?! Man i would SO have the nerve to know on the door! I'd just dazzle them with my charm lol! I've drawn the floorplans for Halliwell Manor as well by hand & it's PERFECT! Just like everyone else here, I plan to build Halliwell Manor when I'm older as well. And name my kids after the cast & characters of Charmed.

I want to know if n e 1 has the floor plans I kind of drew them out but the sun room keeps messing me up.  If you can help email me at jammin_jewel@msn.com and tital it floor plans or I might not open it.

Hey guys. Would anyone be able to email me the floorplans (blueprints) of both the 1st and 2nd story's of the charmed manor? It doesn't have to be professional ones. My email is everyonelovesJames@hotmail.com

i looked it up and CharMeXs3 is right. that is the address. does anyone know any San Francisco locations in Charmed because my dad's going next week and I really want some photos.

The interior filming is done on a separate set, you can tell its not the same house because in the first episode at the end when Prue closes the door, you can clearly see a wall directly behind her as well as the newel post of the staircase. However when there is an interior scene, the hall is longer and the stairs are at the far end of it, as well as there is no wall right behind of the door. This style of home most likely has a side-hall floor plan with the main parlour in the front with a back parlour and dining room behind the front par. and hall. The kitchen would be in the back. I'm not entirely sure that it would be exactly like this its just a guess.

not shure if anyone is still reading this thread but i saw that alot of people were interested in the flor plans of the house i have a website that has the flor plans of What the house the show says its suposed to look like not what the real house looks like however the site is in french here it is http://perso.orange.fr/justcharmed/ when the page loads it says we have truly been charmed u click in the middle of it and a new page loades. then click on Manoir. then the manor doors whil load click on the door knob and then it will take u into the front room and show the stairs click on the door on the wall and then click on the blue rolled up papers. it will show a buch of crap in french and then click on the bottom right hand corner of then blue paper it will show u the basement  floor plan,hen click the boottom right hand corner again and it wil show u the first floor plan, with some blinking dot if u click on the dot it will take u to that room. if th lcikc the lower right hand corner again,and it will show u the second floor plan, click bottom right hand corner again and it whill show u the attic, click again it goes away and at the top u can click 3D and i think u can download 3D quicktime diplays of several rooms of the house so there yall go have fun.

I want to go to l.a. my dad says that he went to the studio where they made charmed and learned how they make the special effects in the 60's . I want to go now and see how they do the special effects in 2007. my mom says i might get to see the real manor this summer. if anyone wants to chat,send me emails  or pictures please send them to chrisgallegos@msn.com and my screen name is i am dead so be very very affraid.

I visited the Charmed house this past December of 2006 and got to go inside!  I met the owner outside and he invited me and my family to come inside and take pictures on the staircase and livingroom.  Nobody lives in the house, but it is completely furnished like the 1800's.  It is owned by a man who also owns the house diagonally across the street in which he lives in.  I was so thrilled to go inside, as I have visited several times before, but never go to see the inside.  It was a great opportunity for me since I am such a big fan of the show.

i have seen the manor at carrol ave. i see it almost everyday! it is so pretty! but it might seem it is not the house but it is! if you just go to yahoo! or google and just type in 'charmed house', it will say carrol ave is the real manor that they shot the shows in! i did not get to go in, so i am not 100% sure it is the real manor. but, 1 am sure the shot in other manors that looked like thats in San Fan. but i think that is the one. that very one in LA. and if anyone will please send some photos to me of the inside?! please!!!
