It will cost you approximately $5,000 a unit if you have a good mix of new and used games.  The new games range from $2,800 for a low end upright to $25,000+ for a simulator.  Expect $6,500 a seat for a new driver and between $4500 (Target Terror) and $12,000 (Time Crisis 3) for a new upright shooter.

actually it varies depending on what you stock it with and how you go about doing it

if you have the money to rent the building and advertise your new arcade (you can do this through personal savings or a small-business loan) then there are some companies that will stock your new building with games for free and they get a percentage of the profit from the games

however, there are some risks with this...for example if you don't make the quoata or minimum profit then they could take their games out and move them to a better location leaving you completely screwed

my suggestion is for you to do your research first and decide if you are fully ready to make a commitment like that.

It depends on what games you want to put in it.
If you put in 5 old games that you bought on ebay, you could call it an arcade for less than $3000.  If you want to put in new arcades, they can cost between $2000-$5000 for standard cabinet games, and they could cost a lot more for big games like that dancing revolution game.  So, for a small arcade with 10 standard box games and a couple big games, you could be looking at about $60,000.  Then, you just need to lease the space, and get some insurance and pay all the stupid taxes.  So, $100,000 would be a good # to start with.  However, the starting costs is the easy part, the hard part is making sure that your income outweighs your expenses.  So, you need good games at a GREAT location, that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to lease.  Good luck finding a mall that will let you put arcades in there,   most malls that don't have arcades, do not want to attract all the teenagers.
