My dog had her pups about 9 days ago. Today we noticed she has some bloody discharge. What could be happening?

It is normal for a dog to bleed after pregnancy but it is supposed to stop after a specific period of time. I have to admit I forget when but you could read up on it. Better to be safe than sorry!

They will have a bloody discharge for several weeks until then put some tissue paper or riped clothes under her to stop it from dripping everywhere.

Ok. I am not going to tell you what you should know already by breeding your dog. But a female dog will discharge anywhere from 7-19 days after having puppies. this is a bloody mucous discharge that is almost impossible to get out of your carpet. So keep her clean give her baths as needed. You don't want her to keep this blood on her fur this causes fleas and that is a whole mother story to get into if you need anymore help please contact me at petkingdomky@yahoo.com I am a breeder of many animals and would be glad to help.

a dog is suppose to stop bleeding in about 2 days she will have some very light spotting but it should not last more then about 3-4 days if she is bleeding real bright red blood or real dark then she needs to go in to the vet because she can have an infection or a dead pup still in her

my staff had 2 pups how long until stops giving birth,from start to finish and there's now a Grey discharge still coming out,is this right born 2day thanks
