I'm trying to open a JPEG file and it's telling me windows...

I'm trying to open a JPEG file and it's telling me windows can't find .exe.   Program not found
Cannot find file C:\.exe.

this is not a big problem. first single click on your jpeg file. then hold down the 'shift' key and then right click on the same jpeg file. the menu comes and then u select the option open with.....
now select Internet explorer/explorer as the program. or locate another or the same. and then u can open. if u want the same program to open the file in future just select the option 'always open with'.

This doesn't seem to work with Win XP home edition any suggestions?.... doesn't pull down a menu that will allow an option to select internet explorer/explorer...etc.
