yeah true, I'mthinking of going to Holland for a day & getting a tattoo, ain't sure about their laws but if u can smoke cannabis in cafes, carry illegal weapons but the police have not got the rite to search you...i think i might be in with some luck :P

you kids should think a little more before getting a tattoo.not only do you not know the history of tattooists in holland although there are some very good ones,your way too young.wait a couple of years and give yourself sometime to think about the desighn you want instead of getting some rubbish to impress your mates.whatever tattoo you get will be on you for life,so dont you think it deserves a little more thought.

i wanna get a tattoo on my ankle but im only 16 and the uk law say 18 is there anyway of finding anywhere that wouldn't take much notice of the law?

i think tha it is pathetic that it is not legal until the age of 18 in the united kingdom to get a tatoo at the end of the day it is ur body and i think that the age that u can get a tattoo shud be at least 14 i am 15 years old and went to have a tatto done on saturday and they wouldnt do it for me i dont think it is fair

Wanting to have a tattoo at 14 is probably usual practise for teenagers but the response they get from the adults on this site shouldn't be. I am a mother of teenage kids training to be a tatoo artist and I am ashamed that the grown ups who use this site would be allowed to encourage a 14 year old to take a foreign holiday to get a tat, they obviously have never been parents.

Ha well. i'mlike 17 on friday and i'mgetting a tattoo today at the local tattooist. and i don't exactly look 18. You just need to know the right people, you walk in with a 20 odd year old or someone who looks older its going to help your case.

ye i went to amsterdam and ad a tattoo done you have to be over 16 but i ad mine done at 15 thay dont ask u how old you are if you go out of the tourst area thay are cheap!

hey in the UK you can have a tattoo at the age of 16 with a parent or a guardian. some tattooists wont alow it but others will.

i think people should be allowed to get a tattoo at 16 i mean you start working at 16 you dont have to go to school. you get more reasonability�s at 16 any way, why arnt you allow to get a tattoo

In the UK you can get a tattoo under the age of 18 with parental consent and it's all legal. I'm nearly 17 and i have a tattoo which my dad signed for. So if you want one - get one!!

um...yes you can as long as your parent.guardian signs the form, they dont even need to be present at the time of the tattoo getting done, they just sign the form beforehand, i have had one done and i am 16...so yeah, i know, and it was all completely legal.
