This is a trickey one, because indeed ALL permanants have summoing sickness when they come into play. It is just that sickness only applies to creatures. This basicaly means that even though your artifact has sickness, it can still tap the turn it came into play. If on that same turn you animated it into a creature, then you would not be able to attack, but if the next turn you animated it, you could attack righ away, since it no longer has sickness. Mishras Factory is another good example of this, you play it and animate it the same turn, you cant attack, use its pump ability or tap it for mana, but if you didnt animate it, you could use the pump ability or the mana ability the turn you play it.
