dao disadvantages
Does not scale to web interfaces
Does not support disconnected recordsets
It doesn't scale into future projects because MS is eventually dropping all support for it
It has a very deep object model requiring a lot of "." notation which slows code down
It doesn't work well even in Access if the tables are connection tables to Sql server tables or Oracle tables.
It doesn't scale well to other databases
Ado advantages
It scales to virtually all databases that run on a MS platform
It runs quickly on large recordsets
Works great with tables in Access that are really connections to tables or views in other types of databases
It has a very shallow object model (basically Connection Command And Recordset)
Scales to future projects IE ADO.Net already exists
Supports dissconected recordsets
Supports stateless HTTP protocols
