my shih tzu is three months old and keeps picking up and chewing/eating anything that is on the floor or ground, how can I stop him?

my dog teddy still occasionally does that get him chew bones squeaky toy etc

I would love to know- we have bought Macy every chew toy in the book but she prefers the taste of wood and furniture and shoes! HELP! Any ideas? She also likes the taste of the bitter spray- I'm going to try Tabasco as a last resort!

I never had a problem with mine chewing on anything but his toys and chew- chews. From the very first day I had him home, I gave him a chew chew and some sqeaky toys. He knows whatever is in his toybox is his. I think your dog is still young enough to teach. Just make sure, when you leave the house to leave your puppy a toy to play with. And when you catch him/her in the act, just give him a little pop on the mouth, say no, and then give him a chew chew.

i had the same problem i put vinger on it my pom did it and my shih tzu did the same thing and she is 4 months old the vinger works for me try and see and it just puts a nasty tast in there mouth and they walk away from it it might take 3 times
