Hi,

My dog has a bloody nose too.I took her to the vet and she said it could be tick fever, which is treatable.I am still waiting for the blood test results. The vet also said it could be a tumor, or the root of her largest tooth aggravating the area. She is a very old dog like yours.Hope this helps,Good luck!

my dog has been bleeding out 1 nostril.  It is a tumor in his nose, that is working it's way into his brain.  Epinepherin spray stops the bleeding for a while...

My dog peach is 8 and has a growing tumor in her nose. It started with a bloody discharge and later he hemmorhaged twice.  She is now on prednisone, bronchodilators, and an antihistamine. Since discovery by x-ray, she has about 6 months to live but she is not in pain and seems happy most of the time.

My 14yr old dog, 28lbs in weight, also has a bloody mucous and sneezes 10-12 times at a "rip".  She did have a bad tooth but antibiotics have knocked the infection.

Jonny, what is your dog's prognosis with the tumor working its way to the brain?  Is it a fast growing tumor?
