I have a series 2001 five dollar bill that has a blue Dept of treasury seal under the
"FIVE" on the front right hand side. What is the difference of this bill compaired to all the ones with green seals, besides the color?

the blue color is very, very rare.  I would hold on to that five dollar bill unless offered more than $20,000.  This five dollar bill was accidently printed when the press ran out of the wrong kind of ink.  There are probably only 3 or 4 bills like this currently in circulation.

If you would like to figure out what that five dollar bill is worth, I'd suggest taking it to the mint and asking one of the workers there.

I have a new five dollar bill from 1999. And in the middle of it, to the left of the green seal, there's a small crown with the letters CT under it. Does that mean anything??? Because none of the other five dollar bills are like that! If someone could email me or something. Okay, Thanks! Jenn    blondiebabe8817@yahoo.com

All of you are wrong. United States Bills have blue seals because they are silver certificates, therfore, they can be redeemed at the United States Mint for the amount of silver the bill denomination is for. So if you have a 5 dollar bill with a blue seal on it, it can be traded in for 5 dollars worth of silver.

the bill is maybe a fake but i am not sure there is said to be no recorded error of this and that it was caused by sulfer i was told. it is real money but just 5 bucks and somebody is selling it as extremely rare and the top bid is at 51 dollars so than again it might just be worth something
