i just bought a pug from a lady who says her dogs are AKC qualified, however i sent the papers to AKC about four months ago and have yet received them back. I paid forty dollars to get background information on my new dog and have yet to receive that. what should be done about this?

Let this be a sign to all of you registering your dog. DO NOT register it with AKC! They are terrible! They take forever to send stuff and your just a tool for making money. More and more breeders are switching to APR. These people are a delight to work with.

You need to call AKC, they will let you know if their is a problem, I would take care of a any Pug, but I would not breed a Pug that was not an AKC. The reason you can have all your rights taken from you through AKC if you do not do the right thing, if your papers were lost, you will have to get a duplicate, this will cost you from 25. to more, the sooner you call the better.
