hey chicas...i recently got my belly button pierced...and it didnt hurt at all when the needle was pushed through my skin...and it didnt hurt when the earring was put in either. i got mine done with a curved barbell...afterwards i felt a little dizzy, i kept seeing flashing lights, i couldnt hear very well, and i had a cold sweat. but those symptoms only lasted a few minutes...then i was fine. over the next four days i experienced redness around the area, my stomach was tight, and every once in a while, i would have minor cramping, sharp pain, and dryness around the piercing. by the fifth day all of those symptoms were over. so my advice for all of those girls that are debating whether to get it done or not, is to just go for it...it doesnt hurt as bad as you think it will. i just got it done, and im 13! if i can do it...so can you. also for those of you who live on oahu(hawaii) or will be visiting the island, and you are thinking of piercing your belly button, and you are looking for a good place to get it done, i would recommend Queen Of Pain Tattoo And Piercing. it is located in Waikiki on Kuhio Ave. and Nohonani St.(in Waikiki Market Place).the address of that place is 2310 Kuhio Ave. hope this helps you guys! bye :)

WHEN I GOT MY BELLYBUTTON PIERCED..... I WAS 13 AND DECIDED I WAS JUST FLICKING THROUGH A MAGAZINE AND I SAW THIS GIRL WITH A REALLY PRETTY BELLYBUTTON PIERCING. I HAD NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT IT BEFORE. IT LOOKED SO NICE SO I ASKED MY MUM AND DAD IF I COULD GOT MINE DONE. THEY SAID THAT IT MAY HURT BUT I COULD IF I WANTED. I AM A BIT OF A WIMP! A WEEK LATER ME AND MY MUM WERE ON THE BUS AND I WAS GOING TO GET IT DONE!!! I WAS DED DED SCARED AND I FELT LIKE I WAS GONNA BE SICK. WHEN I GOT TO THE PLACE I WAS TERRIBLE. I KEPT ON REACHING UP! THEN THE MAN TOLD ME TO COME IN AND PICK A BELLYBAR I LIKED. HE TRIED TO CALM ME DOWN. AND EVEN SAID THAT IT WOULD BE BETTER IF I CAME BACK ANOTHER DAY. BUT I INSISTED ON GETTING IT DONE, SO I LAY DOWN ON THE BED AND HE WAS TRYING TO DISTRACT ME. THEN HE SAID GET READY! YOU WILL FEEL A LITTLE NIP! ONCE I GOT IT DONE, I FELT DEAD GOOD ABOUT MYSELF. I DO ADMIT THAT IT DOSE HURT FOR ABOUT 2 SECONDS. ITS JUST LIKE SOMEONG GRABBING ABOUT 2CM OF YOUR BELLYBUTTON AND SQEEZING IT REALLY HARD. I WAS DYING TO GO HOME AND TELL MY MATES, WHO SAID THAT I WAS TOO CHIKEN TO GET IT DONE. AND AS WE HEADED FOR THE BUS HOME I FELT A BIG SURGE SHOOTING TO MY HEAD. I SUDDENLY FELT ALL DIZZY AND WANTED A DRINK. SO MY MUM AND I HEADED TO THE CLOSEST SHOP. BUT THEN SUDDENLY I FELT MU LEGS GO WEAK AND FELL TO THE GROUND. I HAD FAINTED IN THE MIDDLE OF TOWN ON THE FLOOR. SUDDENLY THERE WAS A HUGE CROWD AROUND ME AND I COULD HEAR PEOPLE SAYING OMG SHES DEAD!!! ABOUT 1 MINUTE LATER I REGAINED CONCIOUSNESS AND I WAS TAKEDN TO A SHOP. THEY PUT ME ON A CHAIR BUT I SUDDENLY FLOPPED BACK AND FAINTED AGAIN. THIS TIME FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES. MY MUM WAS SCREAMING AND WAS SO WORRIED. WHEN I WOKE UP FOR THE SECOND TIME I WAS ON A STREACHER AND WAS IN HOSPITAL! IT WAS VERY SCARY.AND MY BELLYBUTTON WAS REALLY SORE. NOT THE ACTUALL PI THINK THAT I FAINTED COZ I WAS DED NERVOUS BEFORE IT. I HOPE I HAVENT PUT YOU OFF OR ANYTHING! ITS BEEN A YEAR NOW. AND STRANGLY I HAVE NOTICED THAT MY SKIN HAS GOT SMALLER AROUND IT

Hey! i got my belly button pierced the 3rd of july. I was really nervous.. but there's nothing to be scared of. After paying and giving the certin information i needed in order to get it done, i picked out a barbell. Either one a barbell or ring.. doesnt matter which one. The ring and the barbell take the SAME amount of time to heal so pick which ever one you like best. In this case i picked the barbell. After that the body piercer took me to one of the piercing rooms and cleaned my belly button. He cleaned it well and then marked out a spot for the piercing. After it was perfect, he told me to lie down on the piercing table. Then took out the clamp. It was actually really tiny. He clamped the spot and told me to take a few breaths and to relax after the first 2 he did it. It SERIOUSLY did not hurt. It felt less then a bee sting. Not even that. I hope i answered some questions for you gals who wanna get it done. The BEST way to get it done is professionally. DO NOT do it your self. It can become infected, like any piercing but it has more of a chance of getting infected when you do it youself then having it done professionally. So for all you gals who want it done i say go for it. It's way cute and i really love mine! -ROSE!

HeY!! Im 14 and I got mine done in the summer! ('04) I couldnt believe that I had the guts to get my belly button pierced becasue i cry when i get blood taken! Well when I got mine done, the piercer drew 2 dots with marker, then he had me lay down on the bed. I took my sweat-shirt sleeves and covered my face. Then he pushed down really hard on my stomach and stuck the needle through, then put the barbell in. I yelled a bit, but didnt cry. To be honest, most of the pain is from the after part. I couldnt sleep on my stomach for a few days, or bend down. If you clean ur belly button TWICE a day w/antibacterial soap(DIAL) you should be fine. Some days i lacked off, and it hurts SO BAD. I wanna cry sometimes, its like this stinging, paralizing feeling, even when I try and move it around. So I can tell people what happenes and stuff if they have any ?'s AND I ALSO NEED HELP. I THINK ITS INFECTED, SO I NEED HELP ON TO MAKE IT GET BETTER..so if anyone has any ?'s or can help me PLEASE..email me... khco22@yahoo.com!!! thanks

WELL GETTING IT PEIRCEDIS GOING TO HURT WHEN THERE STICKING THE NEEDLE IN IT. WELL FIRST OF ALL I AM A BIG BABY WHEN IT COMES TO NEEDLES, ROLLER COASTERS, OR ANYTHING THAT INVOLVES PAIN. WELL I STOOD UP AND HE MARKED WHERE IT WAS GOING TO BE THEN I LAID DOWN AND HE TOLD ME TO STAY STILL AND PUT THE CLAMPS ON IT , THE CLAMPS HELP BECASUE IT HAS SO MUCH PRESSURE THAT YOU FOR GET ABOUT THE NEEDLE BUT WHEN HE STICKS THE NEEDLE IN YOUR FLESH YOU FEEL IT IT BREAKS THROUGH IT FEELS BAD , WELL I WAS SHAKING AND COULDNT CONTROL IT , AFTER HE PUT THE RING IN IT IT STILL HURT ALITTLE CAUSE HE HAD TO TIGHTEN THE BARBELL. BUT AS SOON AS I GOT UP I WENT TO LOOK AT MY SELF IN THE MIRROR AND I SMILED CAUSE IT LOOKED COOL AND I COULDNT BELIEVE I JUST DIDI WHAT I DID. IF YOUR SCARED THINK ABOUT IF YOU REALLY WANT IT OR NOT AND IF YOU DO THEN IT WOULDNT MATTER HOW MUCH PAIN IT WILL BE. BUT PEOPLE SAY THAT AFTER WOARD IS WHEN YOU FEEL THE MOST PAIN BUT THATS NOT TRUE RIGHT AFTER I WENT TO ASTROWORLD AND I ONLY FELT A LITTLE LITTLE SORE BUT THATS ALL. Hey...I hear all these stories about getting your belly button pierced..and it doesn't seem that bad at all...I'm going to get my done during Christmas break...and if it doesn't hurt worse than getting stitches I'm all up for it...I'm not a big whimp or anything...I hear some people are using a barbell or a ring..which one should I get...anf for all you ladies getting it done...the pain will only last a couple of seconds there might be symptoms that last a couple days...but it's gonna look hot for the rest of your life!!!...I say don't stress about it...bcuz if you get all wild up about it...your going to make it something it's not...I say you just go there confident...maybe practice pinching yourself..sooo your belly will be expecting something that day...and I'm sure you'll do just fine...I haven't gotten mine done but I'm about to...but I've listen to some advice..and it seems like it's not that big of a deal...soOo please someone answer barbell or ring?!?!...thank you..love yas!!! Hi k8 here! My mum said that if I keep my bedroom tidy (Very unlikely) I can have my belly button pierced. I asked her at the shopping centre. Everyone knew what we were talking about so they sort of hung around to see if my mum would say yes. She said I could have it done when I am 15 so I kept on begging and now I am having it done in March! My mum had to think for a week before she could figure out how to ask my dad, but after all the worrying and thinking all he said was, yeah let her go for it! if she pays for it that is! (Typical dads!) So now I am really excited! I know that they will let me have it done if my bedroom is messy! They are big softies and now i am learning how to put things away after myself! Luv ya! ok im 13 and i got my navel pierced a year ago. my couzin had got it pierced and i thought it looked super kool.so i asked my mum if i could get it done, she sed yes and i was really happy. a month later i went to a piercin place and i was the best in the state(i wont name) the man told me to lie on a bed and relax as though i was goin to sleep, i closed my eyes and held my mums hand, the man started telling me what he was goin to do but he had already done it, i didnt reallize. i didnt hurt at all i got up but it was hard and my stomach was sore. the next day my mum couldnt wake me up so she called the ambulance. i woke up in hospital and i looked at my belly my barbell was gone i asked mum wat was wrong at the doctor came in and told me that i just had an infection and fainted through the night. it was nothin serious, so i didnt really care. about a moth later after wering my barbell it was fine, i am now 13 and it looks super kool i have a glow in the dark barbell. so all u chicks that want a piercing there i say GO FOR IT. it pays of and is worth it . i doubt that wat happend to me will happen to u . i assure u it will be fun luv ya

hey i got my belly button pierced on dec 23 2005.and it didnt hurt at all really and i thought i was going to chicken out but i didnt my boyfriend went with me,but he didnt go in i think its better when someone dosent go in with you.so i walked in the tatto place in carmel new york and the guy said pick out a barbell or ring i liked the barbell better and i think its easier to clean also.so i went in the back and kevin (the man) said have a seat sally its not really going to hurt so i stood up and he marked my belly button with a black marker then he said ok lay back and it better to close your eyes he said but i wanted to watch and he cleaned it with yellow stuff and then he took a really big thick needle and peirced it and it was fine it olny hurt for like almost a week now it kool and i can change it and every thing i love it if you have any ?s you can email me at naughtigerl69@aol.com write BELLY BUTTON on it and i will get back to you ! sally

My god! Listen to all of you! It is nothing!! I have done mine multiple times and it is just a pinch... that is all, nothing more. You can't sit there and think negatively about it for 6 months and then decide to do it because you will give yourself an anxiety attack. If you want it bad enough, just do it. It is no worse than getting your ears pierced, and if anyone says that it is, they are trying to convince you not to do it for thier own personal reasons. Don't worry about it, just do it. My only advice is make sure that you really want it though, because I do have scarring and couldn't really go without a piercing there now; it just doesn't look good. Also, make sure you find a reputable piercing place. Good luck!

OK guys! I'm 16 and i got my belly pierced yesterday and i am the biggest wimp in the world!!!! I was dead nervous and this is what happened.... i picked a barbell, barbells are best in my opinion. Then she wiped my belly with sum spray and i then had to lay down. I then had some freeze spray sprayed onto my skin, which stung a little bit its kinda like if you get your finger caught on ice or something. Then i wasn't looking but she clamped my skin which was kinda painful because they have to do it quite tight and then she pierced it which hurt for like 5 seconds then that was it. The pain is like a hard pince to the skin.!! I got up and i felt a bit dizzy and hot but thats only because thats my natural reaction to needles and stuff. To be honest I'm a real wimp but looking back it did hurt but it really was nothing that bad. its a bit difficult to bend down and stuff or lie on your stomach but I'm assuming that isn't for long. Just make sure you clean it twice a day and you will be fine. Trust me if you want one but the pain is holding you back just think its only 5 seconds of you life time. Go for it xxxxxxxxx

hey y'all I'm 14 and i got mine done it hurt really really bad but for like i swear it was only 2 seconds. it isnt't really a sharp pain but it is more like an extremely hard pinch.. but if you pinch your belly button it doesnt't really hurt. you don't have much feeling there anyway. The clamp hurts more than the needle itself when they clamp it it is really tight and hurts but when they actually push the needle through it is more like... well actually it really isnt't an explainable feeling but it isnt't that bad considering it is only 2 seconds long. However my mom and several of my friends said that theirs didnt't hurt at ALL and that they didnt't feel anything. so i think it depends on your body. And when you do decide to do it my absolutely MUST clean it all the time or it WILL get infected. what ever you do DO NOT clean it with hydrogen peroxide it will dry it out and make it hurt. take lots of IB profen because it is really sore. SLEEP ON YOUR TUMMY!!!!!! Do not sleep on it because you may rip it out in the night and it WILL cause it to be sore for like the whole next day. but when you are cleaning it i recommend using "Band-Aid brand hurt-free cleansing + infection protection foam" i use it and it is the best. AND PLEASE GET IT Professionally DONE!!! PLEASE DO NOT DO IT YOUR SELF!!! but if your parents are mean and wont let you do it and you are going to do it on your own anyway please use a sewing needle and NOT a safety pin. Safety pins contain cheap metals that may actually fuse to your skin and all this other gross stuff... just don't do it IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO E-MAIL ME AT: cameron.arnold@gmail.com

Hey!! Im tired of everyone saying it hurts on this site..it does not hurt as bad as everyone is saying it does..and all that fainting stuff there saying thats stupid unless you are just really weak...because my friends came w/ me to get mine done and all my friends and mom were in the room when i got it done and i told my mom to tell me when she was going to stick the needle through and she made this sound like ...gross... and all my friends made a noise and i said what happened and my mom and friends said she already did it..so i didnt feel it..just go to some place that will numb it first but dont let them freeze it just let them numb it with these things where they look like plates at the end of two sticks and they close on your stomach..but no it doesnt hurt cuz my friends saw it didnt hurt me and they all thought it was cute so my mom sighned the papers for them and they got it done that day as well....so go 4 it i dont think it will hurt no one that bad! its been 3 years now and im fine and i got a cute belly ring! i got mine pierced at 13!!

Hey. Ok well i got mine pierced 10 days ago. I'm 13. I was pretty nervous also. This is what i did; I called almost every place in my town where you can get your belly button pierced and chose the place with the best price and what was the cleanest. I made an appointment. then, i went to the supermarket and bought freezing cream. The brand i got was Emol, or something like that. It was 10 dollars and there's enough in there for 3 people. The direction were to put it on 1 hour before the piercing and cover it with ceran wrap. I followed the directions and did what it said. Then I went to the place where i was being pierced and I left the freezing cream on until they wiped it off and clean my belly button. Then they marked where to stick the needle through and then put the clamps on. They put me in the chair and I just Shut my eyes and relaxed. They put the needle through and i know everyone said it doesn't hurt and I would never believe them. But with this freezing cream, it seriously does not hurt at all. Then they said they were done and offered me a candy and a drink of water and such. I walked out and i was soo proud.

i got my belly button pierced on wednesday 20th july so in other words a couple of days ago it did not hurt when i got it done it was just a litlle pinch but now it hurts really badly and i am a bit worried in case it get infectd but it is in a good condition but it hurts !!!!!!!!!!!! first of al i had to fill in a questionair about my self and then i wentn into this room and choose a bar to but in then he meaured my belly button and but 2 dots where it was going to go and then he asked me t lie down when he measured it again to see if it was the same and then he put the clamp on (and to tell the truth the clamp hurt the most out of it all) and then he made me breath in when he but the bar in me and then when i breath out he tied it up and then i got to look at it and he put a plaster on it which has to stay on 4 an hour and i got a lollie pop and when i took the plaster of it started to bleed but it did not hurt then !!! my bar is gold and it has a pink gem in it which is really pritty and if any one who is reading this i got it done in aylesbury at a place called mark and piercings if u wana get it done GO 4 IT!!!!!

heyy all of you ppl...i got my belly button pierced in may..it hurt a lot but right after the piercing part is done it doesn't hurt at all! i was freaking out when i was getting it done because i hate pain! while she was putting the needle through i was moviving a lot!when i stood up to see wat it looked like ..it wasn't straight...i messed it up because i was moving so much so she had to do it agian! it only hurts for about 10 seconds then its over! i walked out of the piercing parlour really proud of wat i just had done! theyy say you have to clean it for 6 months but i only cleaned mine for a week..if your all worried about it getting infected...dont worry it will most likely not get infected!!! and if your wondering mine was done with a needle and they put in a barbell!

hey my name is chloe i got my belly button piersed on the 4th of june 2005 and i am 12 i bet you are all thinking wot do they do ? does it hurt? well ... i walked into the shop the women asked me hat i wonted doing so i told her .. she gave me and my mum a sheet to fill in with all these question's. After we filled it all in the women asked me what i would like out of a bar or a ring .. (i would get a bar because you might catch a ring)so she got a board out with all these belly bars on so i picked mine and we was waiting for about 10 minites because she had to sterlize it so i dont get infected .. after waiting the 10 mintes she called me through my mum didnt come in because she doesnt like needles so my mum's best mate came in with me...She told me to lay down so she could clean my belly button out so its nice and clean....Then she told me to stand up she out a purple dot on me to tell her were to put the needle...And then i layed back down..she put a little clamp on me so the needle would go on right (the clamp didnt hurt at all)..And then she froze my belly ... and then put the needle through its like some one with long nails pinching you ....... and then she puit the bar through and then put a little plaster over it because it was bleeding...AND THEN IT WAS ALL DONE and it lookes so great now people who live in cleethropes or grimsby the best place to go is skin fantasy on grimsby road....so all you people who wont your belly button piersed go for it because it looks great after woods is well worth it xx_chloe_xx

omfg,you guys,im telling you right now that whoever says it doesnt hurt is SUCH a liar,i got mine done like 3 hours ago and it hurt SOOOO bad i felt like i was gonna throw up after, i couldnt even do up mi seat belt on the ride home and couldnt bend or anything, it still hurts reeeeally bad and is all red,it hurts soooo much it isnt even funny,it hurt waaaaaay more then to get mi ears pierced and i have mi ears pierced 7 times including a cartilage and i have mi tongue and the belly button is honestly the WORST pain i have ever felt. (but it might not hurt as bad for you, and the girl that did it was really nice and the place was clean and everything it just hurt really bad when she stuck the 10 cm needle through mi skin) but cya later and dont be to scared all of that was a lie and i barely even felt it:P HAHHAHAHAHAHAHA got you good didnt I...? i kno i kno, hold your applause,all it really feels like is a quick pinch and its over, goodluck. hey im almost 16 and iv have my belly button pierced twice and im about to have it done again...now i learned alot ...one yes it does hut a little bit ...but not that bad ...and when you get it DONT PLAY WITH IT OR TOUCH IT....becasue i was reading somebodys response and they said the skin around there piercing was getting smaller....thats call rejection...its mainly causes my OVER CLEANING ..NO RUBBING ALCOHOL>>NEOSPORIN ect... bad bad bad ...just anti bacterial soap ...but honestly the younger you get it done the higher your risk of rejection. i got it done hmm 13 i think ...and mine rejected really bad....but yea hthats it ...i also have my tongue pierced and two tattoos...but my belly actually hurt a lot more than my tongue surprisingly

u dont have anything to worry about i swear on my life it doesn't hurt i had mine done twice cuz they did it wrong but it was fun to get it done and the pain is like 3 seconds and its not that bad and in the end it was all worth it i was freaking out when i first got it done but after i got it done i couldn't believe what a wimp i was being yes i am a major wimp too i hate even getting my ears pierced but i got my belly button done anyways all i am trying to say is go for it mine is fully healed and i love it i have the coolest ring in it right now just look at it this way it will all be worth it when its over and dont worry about the pain its 3 seconds i promise and thats it i swear theere is no pain after it and when u get it done if it is pussing a little thats perfectly normal and whatever u do plz dont touch it or it could get really infected and become a nasty scar good luck!!!! im 11 years old and i got my navel pierced on monday 11-28-05.iv wanted it done since i was 9 and i was finaly allowed to get it done.well first find a clean place to go to.joe the guy who did mine took me back in a big room then told me to have a seat on a white dentist char thingy and i did.then he asked if i wanted a hoop or barbell so i said barbell.he got the jewlrey out cleaned me off then marked where he was going to pierce me.i looked down and the mark was really low the he took out the clamps that were really small and clamed me it didnt hurt it was just a tight squeeze then he took out the needle that looked giagantic to me wich really wasnt big at all.my mom covered my eyes and joe said take a deep breath and i was in the middle of breathing when POP the needle went in i went oooooo it goes so fast it barly hurts.so dont worry about pain cause it dont hurt at all. i looked at my stomach and the needle was sticking through my stomach.my mom covered my eyes again a joe slipped in the jewlrey and twisted the ball on.where it looked like he was piercing it low at first wasnt low at all.i looked in the mirror and just loved my new piercing its been 4 days since i had mine done.it looks great.so go for it you'll love.

I don't really have an answer for anyone actually I have a few questions, some of these stories can be really confusing some say it hurts really bad and other say it only hurts for a sec and some say it doesn't hurt at all, well I am getting mine pierced here in about a month and I am really really scared, they say you cant go swimming for about 2 months..why not? whats the difference in swimming and taking a bath... you can take a bath right? or do u have to take a shower? well I have plenty of questions but I am not gonna ask them all, another thing I wanna know is are all the earrings they have to choose from really ugly or do they have a bunch of cute dangly ones? Hiiii evrey one!! my name is Georgie n i live in Spain! i just want to tell all you people out there who wants there belly button pierced to GO FOR IT!! im a real whimp, n i hate pain, but when you get your belly pierced it doesnt hurt! the thing that hurts the most is when they put the bellybar in ( the pircing ) but even that doesnt hurt!! The thing you have to do the most is clean it coz if not it will get infected, ive had mine a year now and i didnt have 1 infection, n it looks really cool n after time you cant even feel you have it in!! So just go for it!! One more thing i really want the right side of my lip pierced but my mum wont let me, any ideas how i can convince her? and does it hurt alot more than a belly button piercing? plz anser bk thnx n hope ma info helps you all bye xxxxxxxxx

I got mine pierced about a month ago, i got it done at a tatoo and piercing studio in my town. Basically you pick the colour of belly bar you would like, he draws two little dots on your belly button where the needle will be going through. By this time i was really scared and asked my mum to hold my hand when the time came to get it pierced. He told me to lay down and put the clamp on, which hurt a bit but not enough to flinch. Then he sprayed something on which probably froze it, then just put the needle through. It just felt like a small pinch, and i felt stupid about being so afraid! It was bleeding very very slightly at this point, he taped a square of a tissue kind of thing to it to stop blood getting on my clothes (dont be put off by this, there is hardly ANY blood at all, just about 3 drops of it). that night i cleaned it just with warm water from the shower, and the morning after too. The dude at the studio had said that salt water was good for it, so i used that day and night for the next few weeks along with hot water. basically you jus pour the water inside then move the bar up and down to get it inside, then rinse it out. Be careful what you wear for a few weeks after, coz my school uniform skirt came up to where my piercing was, and caused some pain. Sometimes a wake up and feel my piercing and some white stuff came out. i was really worried it was infected and asked my mom about it, shes a nurse and said that it was white blood cells or something, so dont worry much about that. But if yellow stuff or blood comes out of it way after you got the piercing done, it might be infected. One night at a party i was play wrectling and it came out, but i put it back in carefully but that night it was very red, but i put a special cream in it thats supposed to prevent infection and it was fine the next morning. It been going great sofar, i dont have to clean it as much now as it should be healed very soon, just about once a day does it for me.

heyy im 16 and i got it done 8 months ago (belly ring) what you do is go in and pick the barbell (dont pick a ring i didnt even have a choice of picking it because it has more of a chance of getting infected) and they make the 2 dots and make u lay down on a chair bed and then they put on music and give u a piece of cotton of aroma theropy (calms u) and u smell it then it takes 1 secend ...my eyes where all teary and then when it was done i laughed because of how stupid i looked lol.. ITS TOTALLY WORTH IT..REALLY O AND DONT DO IT YOURSELF BECAUSE IT WILL END UP CRICKED AND WAIT UNTIL YOUR ABOUT 15 OR SIXTEEN BECAUSE IT WILL PULL ON YOUR SKIN BECAUSE 12 YEAR OLDS BODIES ARE STILL GROWING and it looks gross on 12 yr olds anyway. and one more thing if u think about it it will hurt if u dont it wont ..remember that.

hi, my friend is 12 and shes getting her belly button pierced sumwhere in gatineau and i wanted it also too.. But my mom told me that i was too young.. She said if i saved up my money she would take me to gatineau to get my cartilage peirced... BUT.. after all these scary things i'veheard im too worried to get it done. I really want it for high school!!! But i,m not sure i was talking to a girl who got it done in person and she said "If you get it with a gun the worst thing that could happen is that your whole ear could cave in and colapse!!!and i was like what about if u get it done with a needle. She said the worst thing that could happen is that if i dont clean it properly that i might get it infected and ill have to take it out. Hey everyone. Ok, I'm 15 and my mom has always told me that I could get my belly button pierced when I turned 15. I've been 15 since September, but I never really thought about getting it done until one day when we were in town. I went to a tattoo parlor and I was just kind of looking around trying to decide if I wanted to do it. Only 1 of my friends has it done and I had never asked her if it hurt when she got hers done. So I am a total wimp for pain. And I am freaking out because we've already signed the paper work and everything. So I go in the room and lay on the table. And I dont have anyone in there with me because he told me that if I needed someone with me I didn't need to get it done. So I'm lying on the table and he puts the clamp on and says that will be the worst part. It hurt but it wasn't even close to being unbearable. Then I closed my eyes and told him just don't tell me when you're about to do it. And he was like ok. And then he pushed it through. I felt that a total wussy. It didnt hurt but just a tiny bit. I mean I would do it again in a heartbeat. I dreaded it so bad for nothing. The guy told me before he did it that if I didnt stop shaking I was going to have a piercing somewhere that I didnt want it. lol. But honestly, if you want to get it done, my advice is do it. It really doesnt hurt bad at all. Hope I was some help.

okay i know nobody has posted these in a while. but i just got mine done about 2 weeks ago and i was really nervous but it honestly does not hurt at all. there is more pressure then pain.. and the clamp does not hurt either. well at least mine didn't! If yours still hurts chances are its infected or they did it wrong because mine hurt for probably an hour after i got it done.. and it doesn't hurt anymore. you just have to make sure you clean it really well. but what happens is they clamp your belly button and its not as bad as it sounds, they take then needle and stick it through and it just basically feels like pressure and then once its through you feel a little poke, and he sticks the ring in it.. and its over.. it honestly hurts more after but that pain will go away. so anybody who is planning on getting one and is scared, seriously dont work yourself up, you'll realize after that working yourself up is just a big huge waste of timee! :-)

so July 1st of 2006 i went to go get my bellybutton pierced, i got it and it was red for most of the time.. i kept it in and didn't change it for almost 6 months because it was still red so i thought it wasn't healed. I got the ring not the barbell. so after about 6 months.. the skin around it started to heal but as a few weeks passed the skin holding in the ring started to heal also, eventually the ring scabbed over and fell out.. This was because the piercer didn't hook enough skin. Now i have a scar on my top but on February 19th of 2007 i went to get it done at a different place and i got it pierced on the bottom, it hurt alittle bit more than the top but nothing too bad.. and it wasn't even red at all. i got the barbell and your aloud to change it 2 months later. so i did and now i can wear pretty bellybutton rings and they show out of my shirt more because its on the bottom. if anyone wants pictures of the top scar or the bottom one now email me lalaxlovexyou@aim.com ill be happy to respond.

I got my bellybutton pierced yesterday, and i came to this little website a lot for re-assurance before i actually went. I heard that it's so painful that you pass out, and also that it feels like a little pinch. To be completely honest with you, the worst part about it was beforehand (the being nervous part!!) The actual procedure is not as painful as you would think. The needle goes through so fast that you can hardly feel it. I held my purse over my eyes so that i woudlnt see anything, and my peircer said "you're done" before I knew it. it's completely worth it! It's only a little sore now only when i bump up on things or accidentaly snag it...but other that that, it's great and painless!! (not to mention cute) IT"S TOTALLY WORTH IT!! Just remember not to touch it and clean it with bactene or an antibacterial soap!!!! Hope this helps! P.S. GO FOR IT! it's not nearly as painful as you think!!

I had my bellybutton done when i was 12. I got it done because my sister did and i thought it was cool! ( which, by the way, it is) I am not scared of needles and wasn't very nervous when i went in! Most people say it takes 6 weeks before you can change it, but when i got mine done the the bottom ball of the ring fell out a few times and then, a few days after that I had a friend over and we were dancing, but when i looked down it was gone completely. But it was no big deal, I had a spare belly button ring and i put it back in with no trouble at all. So dont freak about it! When your are cleaning it I reccomend using antibacterial dial soap, but when u do clean it try to turn it completely around. It speeds up the healing process so that , if you had blead, that it wont stick to the sides of the rings and the hole and make it more difficult to become comfortable later on!trust me, I'm 18 and mine is still fine and has never even been infected or anything! For all of you that have doubts about doing this, dont worry about it! It is well worth it in the end as long as you take care of it!

hey guys, just wanted to tell you it REALLY doesn't hurt to get it done, the clamp just feels like a little pinch, maybe you can practice on your stomach a little, pinch pretty hard, but not hard enough to leave a mark, thats how the clamp feels, and the the actualy needle just feels like when you poke yourself after sharpening a sharp pencil, it honestly doesn't hurt, it all depends on you, how bad you take pain, and if people were wondering how much it costs, bring 90 dollars just to be safe, cause going to a good place will give you a price range from somewhere to 60 - 100 dollars unless you know people or stuff, anyways! goodluck to those of you who wonna get it done, you won't regret it!

OK!!! The only pain you feel lasts for like 2 seconds...Go for it..im 12 and got mine done on march 10th..i changed my ring after 20 days... so if they say keep it in longer you dont have to!!!

Hey, It hurts, but not so badly. I got the freezing spray, and that was a huge problem. The freezing spray burned my skin, and gave me a lot of toruble for the next few weeks. It'll be hard to bend down and tie your shoes for a bit, but when its healed you can personalize your barbells. Its a lot of fun to have!

A friend of mine got hers done and said she about passed out from the pain but she is a wimp for pain. It hurt for a minute. She had to watch what she wore for a couple of days and not to irritate it but it was fine afterwords. Just don't concentrate on it and it will be fine.

it does hurt a wee bit but not loads just remember 2 clean it with salt water and a cotton bud but if the piercer gives you a spray use that instead u can go swimming after 2 months and everything should be OK just rinse it with clean water any questions just ask ! luv jodz xx

hey guys,it dosnt hurt at all(i got mine done like 2 hours ago),well the piercing anyways,it burns for a bit afterward but its no biggie,i mean i'm afraid of flu shots but bellybutton piercing is way less hurtful than flu shots..lol im scared of them(flu shots that is) so um yah just make sure that where u go is clean... If u live in the Fredericton area(fredericton,Nb,Canada) i recomend "white lotus tatoos" u can check em out at http://www.whitlotustatoos.com! ps the piercer guy was pretty hott ;)

I'm 14 and I'm getting mine done most people say it doesn't hurt. I find the more you want it the less it will irritate you. if your really nervous going into it it will hurt more then you expect. One of my friends did it for a dare and she didn't fully want one and it killed in her case but my other friend got hers done and she was so exited it hardly hurt at all. They also have the same pain tollerence. It's mostly in your mind.

i have my upper ear pierced and that didn't hurt at all, i am getting my belly button pierced and i am so scared that it will hurt really bad. how would you compare the two piercings?...if i can handle my ear can i handle my belly button? HELP!

hey well this isnt an answer but....i am 12 gonna be 13 on the 11th of august and for about 2 months i have been wanting to get my belly button peirced and i have asked alot of people if it hurts and they say no that it hurts more to get ur ear peirced and so i am like really up for it but like a couple of weeks ago my friends got her belly button peirced and she screamed so now i am all scared does it really hurt that bad if any one wants to tell me somthing or anything like that e-mail me at luverofdorks@aol.com thanx luv alwayz elissa
