What is the future of the 80C196 processor ?
How long will it still be supported and a good design choice ? When will i have to start redesigning products with this processor using newer processors ?

it has 16-bit cpu.

I am not sure, but I have a substantial quantity of SB8XC196NP available. They are new factory sealed. They have older date codes but we have sold 40K over the past two years with zero failures.

Yes, Intel has announce end of life buy for all 8xC196xx (All MCS96 and all MCS51) microcontrollers. EOL buy is March 07, last time delivery Sept 07.  Don't design with these!!!

its a advanced microcontroller so its goin to exist more time
