I have a 2002 tundra with a  v8 motor I went on vacation for a week my truck sat in the garage for that week when I started it up it sounded like metal on metal like there was no oil in the motor for about 4 or 5 seconds and it filled my garage with blue smoke it has happened only 2 times the first time like I said it sat for a week the second time it sat for only 3 days(the dealer has always changed my oil with a toyota filter), both times it done that I checked the oil it was fill. My truck has 17,000 miles if I drive it everyday it dosen't do it. thank you John

hey i have an 04 tundra and i used to let the dealership do my oil also and it did it once when it sat for a week when i went on spring break but then i asked the dealership what kind of oil they were using and it was not synthetic so now i do my oil my self ans i use full synthetic every time and i let it set for over a week with the full synthetic and it did not do it again hope that helps
