Have the system pressure checked, if OK, then you may have a weak hose that collapses (upper usually has a spring inside, but not the lower) or a bad pressure cap.  Also have you checked if the cooling fans run properly?  (should run all the time with A/C on, temperature switch turns it on w/o A/C).

I'd bet the store on a bad (clogged) rad. If it has one row of tubes (as opposed to 2) it's a poor rad anyway.

The water pump is a two part assembly. When you purchase a replacement water pump, they only sell you the pulley, shaft, and the impeller. In order for water to be forced through the cooling system, when the impeller rotates, it pushes water through a water channel and out of the water out-let section of the water pump. The area of the water pump that containes the water channels are located in the "Timing Chain Cover". For some unknown reason the metal that make up these water channels wear down, perhaps from chemicals or contaminated water. Changing the timing chain cover should take care of the problem.
