I inherited an Eagle Talon. The engine light has come on and I don't find anything about it in the manual. I felt there might be something simple I could check which would be causing that? Thanks for any help

This is the wrong place to ask this question. But, I am in a good mood. Consult a service manual (Hayes etc) and run a analogue multimeter into the computer port and read the trouble code(s).

WHAT YEAR IS YOUR TALON? I HAVE A 95, MY LIGHT CAME ON, IN THE MANUAL FOUND NOTHING..DID YOU RUN A CODE? LOOK IN EMMISSIONS PART OF THE BOOK TO FIND OUT HOW..MY PROBLEM WAS A RECALL ON THE FEUL REGUALTOR AND PCM..IF YOU HAVE A SECONDARY AIR INJECTION SYSTEM, THIS COULD BE YOUR PROBLEM. IF THIS IS THE CASE, TAKE IT TO A MISTIBUSHI OR CHRYSLER DEALER. ITLL BE FIXED FOR FREE..BUT YOUR LIGHT MAY STILL STAY ON. THEY REPLACED MY FUEL REGULATOR AND THE COMPUTER. STILL MY LIGHT IS ON, BUT NOTHING IS WRONG? CHECK THAT OUT THOUGH

hey guys i can by a 1st gen awd tsi talon for 1000 dollars. the only thing thats wrong with it is a small oil leak nothing else. it has 102k miles on it. do u think that this car would be too much of a hassle for a first car? please let me know before the car gets sold to anyone else. thanks,jeff

Don't get it. Most talon's that old have problems with the valve guides and burn oil like crazy!! I bet you anything the oil lead on from the valve cover too.... I had a 1992 talon, brand new... i miss it.

I had a question is how do you know which model from has a secondary air system, because I'vebeen experience a problem is when my is running, the all body is kinda shocking just a tiny bit, but i went to the dealer and replace the new computer, now it gave up a message regarding with the secondary air system, so do you guys is that a main cause of my car, it seem every things checked is fine, from Mitsubishi and Chrysler. so Please help me thank

i have a question for talons i too have a 92 eagle talon tsi awd. i love it, but when i bought it it also had a small oil leak, well that has turned into a BIG oil leak you said something about valve guides could you tell me more, i'm up to a quart about every two weeks.

I HAVE A 91 TALON AN MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND SOMETIMES IT IS OIL BUT OTHER TIMES IT IS JUST THAT THE IDLE IS OFF.

hey guy i just bought a 90 awd tsi eagle talon :) love the thing so far she rips haha i only have one problem i am trying to install a alpine cd player and my oxilary power from the ignition has no power and i dont wanna trace the wire i was wonder in if u had any sugestions i also need fix the interior light any thoughts on that ? thanks steve

If your Check Engine light comes on but there seems to be nothing out of wack, most times it is the ECU. These cars are famous for leaking capacitors on the board causing damage to the circuits. Thus eventually causing bad emissions eratic idling, poor fuel consumption and so on

HEY IM LOOKING AT BUYING A 92 AWD TALON BUT THE HEAD WAS MESSED UP AND THE GUY TOOK IT TO GET SHAVED AND POLISHED, DO YOU THINK IT IS A GOOD IDEA FOR ME TO BUY IT SINCE HE ONLY WANTS 500 DOLLARS AND I HAVE SOMEONE TO PUT THE HEAD ON, PLUS DO U THINK IT WILL CAUSE OTHER PROBLEMS TO OCCUR.

I have owned an 1g Eagle Talon TSI AWD for years. I have invested four times its value into it. As much fun as the car is to drive it is a huge headache, these cars will never stay running properly. If you don't own one, don't buy one. If you do own one sell it fast. Unless of course you are willing to spend over $500 a month in maintenance, in which case happy motoring. Man are these things fun to drive!

I have a 1993 Talon with a 1.8L engine. The oil light came on and won't shut off. There is enough oil in the motor and I had the O/P switch changed last year. Any thoughts? ( Im thinking sending unit maybe)??

I have a 95 talon that gets bad gas mileage and the check engine light is on. I love the car, but i need to get this fixed. They are great for putting a stereo system in.

I have a huge problem with my 91 eagle talon tsi awd turbo! I got it from my mom's boyfriend and it hasn't ran since i got it. If i try to start it, it will kill my battery in 15 mins or less. the alternator is fine i had it tested 2 times. It just wont start at all! I replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter and the spark plugs. i don't know what is wrong. Then i tried shooting a little either into the engine and if kicked over but it wouldn't stay running can anyone help me please!

i have a 91' eagle talon and the whole engine is messed up it gets gamed after i try to start it but sometime it try-es to turn and goes a bit then it feels like something is getting jammed, and theres a symbol looks kinda like a cam gear, i cant find it in the manual please help me!
