when using algae destroyer tablets, if it's not working at all, how often until I can use it again?  Without harming cichlids.  Or does it not work, and am I just going to have to scrub the sides of the tank like I had been before I ever used it(aquarium pharmaceuticals, algae destroyer tablets).
Thanks for whatever advice you can give me!

if the algae destroyer does not work u can continue scrubbing the tank (have you tried
vinegar and water ?)  try algae eaters like plecostemus or snails but be warned snails do breed and ensure a good filter system as well

My Betta 5 gal hex is being taken over by brown algae.  I clean the tank once a week like suggested and clean the plants, castle rock, etc.  In three days time it took over the entire tank walls included.  I can't see my fish!  So I put one tablet, suggested amount for 5 gal, in yesterday and it seems to be getting worse.  Can I put another one in there or is this stuff useless?  I can't add any other fish as he is a male betta and hates tankmates, actually killed two that is why he is alone.
