I just found out my 5-1/2 year old male has a brain tumor, or brain cancer.  I should find out which later today.  I am heart broken!!!!!  Does anyone have any hopeful information?  The vet doesn't seem to hold much hope no matter which it is.  Please help!

My 15 year old dog just had an MRI and I found out that she has a brain tumor.  I have decided not move forward with surgery because of her age.  My vet said that we can treat her with medication and she may get better for a while.  So far it's working and she is home and doing well.  Your dog is much younger, so I am sure that there are many options for you to consider.  Talk to a specialist.  You would be surprised at how much more information and choices you will have.

Cancer is, unfortunately, very common in Berners. Get a second and even a third opinion and see what options you have.
