I HAVE A 1953 SERIES "B", TWO DOLLAR BILL.  I HAVE HAD THIS FOR QUITE A MANY YEARS. I DO BELIEVE THE SIGNATURE IS OF "ELIZABETH R. SMITH",IS UNDER THE NUMBERS IN RED PRINT. JEFFERSON IS ON THE FRONT AND "MONTICELLO" IS ON BACK. ALSO A LETTER "H" IS ON THE UPPER LEFT CORNER. CAN SOMEONE UPDATE ME ON MY SECRET TWO DOLLAR BILL.  I HIDE IT FROM MY CHILDREN, THEY ARE GROWN. HA-HA

Hi...your note is a US note also called legal tender note.I am afraid that it is common note as far as collectors are concerned.In circulated grades the value would run in the $2-$3.50.If the note was nearly perfect uncirculated with no folds ,tears or stains the best it would run at would be $8-$12 range at best.If your note has a star in the serial number then the values in circulated would be about $10 and uncirulated maybe around $40 range.These are all retail values.
Not a rare note but nice to keep as a reminder of our past history.

hey i have a 1953 two dollar bill that is a star note that doesn't have any folds or tares. it was a christmas present and it came strait from the bank. what would i need to look for two see how much it would be worth?
