I have a sub-zero refrigerator model 642 and recently noticed the word "SERVICE" and fault code "21  CE" displayed on the control panel.  I'd like to know what this code means before the repair shows up at the door.  However I wasn't able to find the answers.  Can anyone direct a web site or just tell me what the codes mean.

I'd put this question to www.repairclinic.com.  They're pretty good about helping out with stuff like this.

Turn off the circuit breaker and leave it off for 10 min and let the computer reset.
Mine was solved that way

#1.  The fact that the control panel is giving you a default code tells me that it's either from the 600 series or the 700 series.  That's good news, because that means that it's less than 12 years old.
#2.  You have a 12 year warranty on your "sealed system" This means that the compressors, etc. are contained within this sealed system and are therefore covered.  (these are the most costly repairs)
#3.  Although I'm not sure what the 21 CE code refers to, a simple call to an AUTHORIZED Sub-Zero Servicing agent will help you identify the issue so that 9 times out of 10 he'll know what parts to bring with him the first time he comes to your house!
