When I jog in the heat<85), I tend to hyperventilate.  Can I rectify this somehow?
Have others had this problem?

well there are a lot of things that have to be first ruled out before anyone can answer your question ! Firstly your medical history , then a certain number of investigation to rule out any basic pathology and if all is well , you can get rid of hyperventilation by simply gradually building your stamina . however, i must tell you that hyperventilation is a a normal phenomenon for beginners

This answer is actually quite simple.  Don't run in the heat.  Avoid it, and run in the morning or night instead.  I live in Texas, so everyday I have to get up early to run.

Reduce your speed you are going to fast ... it happens when you start your runs off at a fast speed because you have energy. go slower on the first half let your body get warmed up
