The adaptations of a dolphin is the gills that help him breath under water. Actually there are two dolphin adaptations another is the molars on the back of their mouth that help them break the bones on the fish that they eat.

dolphins have a number of adaptions that they have evolved by changing from land animals to marine animals. one is a sleek torpedo shaped body to allow them to move through the water effectivley and hairless skin. their hands have become flippers. they are able to absorb 80% of the oxygen they inhale instead of human which absorb only 17%. if you want more concise answers search: dolphin adaptations. through google.

An adaption of a dolphin is thermoregulation which is when they control body heat. Their core temperature is almost the same as ours, theirs is 98.4. Also, 18 to 20% of body weight is their fat.

Dolphins are torpedo shaped which allow for faster and easier movement and have very strong muscles in their tails which allow them to move with great speed and agility through the water. This is very important as dolphins hunt live prey.
