The following c-program is giving unexpected result.Is someone know it's reason how it's answer is 65? #include<stdio.h> main() { int i=7; i=((i++)*(++i)); printf("%d",i); }

The reason is simple. Your program can be re-written like this: #include <stdio.h> main() { int i=7; i=i+1; //this is for (++i) thus i=8 i=i*i; //now i=64 i=i+1; //this is for (i++) thus i=65 printf("%d",i); //writes 65 as expected } Take care about i++ and ++i because their order depends on your C compiler... On my computer your program answers 8 !!!!
