I am a US Citizen living in Canada with my Canadian husband.  We'd like to begin to apply for a green card for him, in order to get the process going, but have no immediate plans to move to the US.  I have 2 questions about this:
1) If we begin the process, at any point, does it become an issue if we don't have immediate plans to move?  Will we be required to prove we are going to move?  If so, at what point in the process?  How do people normally do this (apply for a green card) in similar situations (before making plans to move)?
2) What should we expect of the interview process?
