1998 ford f150 started like always. Drove it and parked.  About 5 minutes later I tried to start it and it just spluttered and died.  Over the next 30 minutes, I tried to start it probably 10 times without any success.  When the tow truck arrived 30 minutes later, I tried one more time.  It started just like always. I towed the truck home and when we arrived, I tried to start it again.  It started fine.  The tow driver remarked that when it first started, alot of black smoke came out of pipe.  What could this?
