The colors Brown, Orange, Yellow (BOY) indicates the color coding for 480/277 volts (AC)lines.

brown, orange, yellow, gray,
the upper voltages. brown = A phase, orange is B phase and yellow is C phase, it depends on what transformer you are using, a Y, or a deta. Grey is use for the neutral. voltages, can be from 220v. , 277v, or the upper range, 4160 . Never assume about anything electrical. Never take any ones word for it, that the circuit is off, you should always, check for yourself, before working on the units. or you can be shock or killed.
