I am a chi breeder and one of my litters had eight pups. A more common # is 3-4 in a litter. I find most Chihuahuas carry their babies about 60 days, although 63 days is supposed to be the norm.

Our male has sired three litters in his life-time. Two litters produced five puppies. And the other was six. Usually a chihuahua is pregnant 60- 63 days after the last breeding.

My female chi just had 2 pups on Sunday 06/13/04, I need to know, do I have to seperate my male chi from the female and how long?

There won't be a problem until she goes into her next heat, but exactly when that is is anyone's guess. If you're not wanting her to have more puppies, please spay her.

I think that a chi can have six or more. and I think the pregnancy could take like about three day or seven or even more.

my dog had three puppies, and they were 7 days shy of 63 days, and i was wondering if that is normal, or if my other male dog may have got her with out us knowing!

My chihuahua has had two litters and is on her third. It takes around two months for them to have their babies. She had five puppies both litters.

The male chihhuahua won't be a promble or if the both of the dog's don't get along put them apart ok.

I have a litter of chihuahua pups on the way, first time, the 2 parents are both mine, so i am wondering, i have 2 black and tan chi's {male and female} she is 29 days pregnant, we hope... and i was wondering if there is any possibilities that they will have any puppies of any other color than black and tan, just curious...
