I have a 5 year old Doberman he's a great dog, there's a ridgeback pup of 6 month old down the block, he is terrified of him. I can hardly hold onto him. The look in his eyes are terrifing.  He got loose from me once and ran home with the ridgeback running right behind him.  The owner of the ridgeback thinks it's cute. (sicko) Why or how can i calm him down.  Help   phlcolby

???? It doesnt sound like your dog needs calming down. Firstly, is this pup loose? Try walking your dog in the other direction and not putting him in this situation. I would be having a few words with the owner of the ridgeback, he wont be thinking it's cute when his dog gets hit by a car will he?

Maurits is an idiot, don't listen to him.

You could try introducing them very slowly, maybe get your Doberman used to the Ridgebacks scent by letting him smell something thats been rubbed on the ridgeback? Dont know if it would work, I'm just putting it out there.

Is the ridgeback being vicious? If so then keep them separate. The owner of him shouldn't have him, he dosnt seem to care for controlling him.
