Hey, umm, this forum is rediculous, I just mated my pit bull, and she doesn't go around killing other things, and yes she was agressive with the male at first, but any larger breed of dog will be like that to her mate when you introduce. The male dog will try to mount the female about 5 - 10 times before the female will alllow him to do her, this is just the female getting use to her mate, and until she is, she might snap at him, but she will not hurt him. When the dogs do mate, she will allow him to for a couple days. The more days you mate your dog, the bigger the litter. Anybody who thinks pitbulls are naturally agressive are idiots. They have to be trained to be vicious and agressive. If they are just brought up in your regular everyday home, the dog will be ok. People should know more about the history of the pitbull before they think its just an agressive killer dog, because statistics show that a cocker spaniel are naturally more agressive and violent than a pit bull. It just bugs me when people like any of you talk about things, write a whole forum on it, and don't even know anything. Complete Idiots

You can't force a female to breed. She HAS to be in heat to get pregnant. A male will breed any time as long as the female will let him.(and even if she won't) Tanisha

just put a muzzle on the female and she will still try to get at him but she will give up after a while but try it it will work.

with over 200 pits or dogs that look like them killed every day in los angeles alone you should really reconsider breeding instead of potentially adding to an already out of control problem thus making it a bigger pain in the ass for responsible pitt owners.stupid people,stupid questions...

What is wrong with you people? If the female is aggressive, muzzle it? Don't be so friggin stupid - don't ever breed an aggressive dog. People like you give the breed a bad name. Stupid, bad owners.

Put your dogs together while the female is in heat. It should work. If not keep trying the next time she comes into heat. Don't force them together or it will never happen.

Get the female put her head inbetween your legs and the male will naturally do his thing we breed our dogs to sell and other things all the time and have great pits but make sure they have shots and things.

ANY dumbass can breed two dogs together and produce something that resembles a pit bull. The real task is selective breeding to improve/maintain the breed. If you aren't going to put the time and effort into learning about genetics, conformation standard, temperment, stability, and possibly most important, GAMENESS, then you should have your animals spayed/;neutered. Anything less than strict standards and culling procedures WILL NOT DO. If you aren't going to improve our beloved breed then for God's sake at least don't make it worse. Spay or neuter your dog. This might be what people like you need too. Or mabey dogs just need to be taught about wearing protection.

What the hell! If ur breeding the dogs to better the breed ok but if u just want to make money than your a real dumbass. If ur ganna breed an agressive dog anyway than your still a dumbass becuase if it doesnt kill the male than Its ganna kill the pups too. So tell me again, why do u want to breed this dog in the first place?!?!?!?!?!?!?

i think that u are a dumb ass if u breed a pit and any other dog, that makes them turn on people and no one will want to get a puppy that is mixed and it takes 63 days for a dog to have her puppies

is every one in here a real dumb ass ok if u dont know any thing about breeding than u prob shuld even be around a dog that can breed i am tierd of hearing about pitt bulls that bite and kill things becouse i have ownd pits for the past 15 yrs and never had a prob the prob is dumb ass peaple like u that have no clue

I agree not to breed an aggressive pit. I am going through that now with my female pit, it's her 3rd heat and each time she is more aggressive towards the male trying to mate with her. She has tried to kill our other male dog for just going nesr her while in heat. We have decided to have her fixed after this heat; it breaks my heart because she is beautiful.
