I am on a F1 visa in united states from India, have lost my passport and have applied for a duplicate. How do i get my Visa stamped?

i have the same problem , i spoke to lawyers and th uscis they said they dont issue visa stamps in the us . one need to go to india(home country) and get it stamped again
