a few years ago i got a ticket for running a red light unfortunately i was an addict at the time and carelessly did not appear causing my license to be suspended(los angeles, ca) fortunately i am clean and sober now yet unable to drive legally. i'vecontacted the original court who now says i must contact gc services whick i think is a collections agency there is now an enormous balance due for this and the dmv will not reissue my license until i get an abstract from gc collections  with such a limited income it is very unreasonable for me to pay this amount and i think unjust as well what can i do?

Contact the service, they will more than likely only ask you to pay a minimal amount.
