After changing the rear brake shoes (drum brakes) on my '93 Grand Caravan, the right side has constant drag and gets hot. I want to adjust the parking brake before going further. Where is the parking brake adjustment made? The Chilton book does not show the correct parking brake cable layout - it's different in this car. The cable in this car runs under the left side, past the left rear wheel, and around the back to the right rear. There is a plastic box on the cable under the car between the parking brake pedal and the left rear wheel. What is this box all about?

Your brake shoes might be adjusted too tightly--back them off if there is drag when you spin the wheel.

The plastic box is where the adjuster is for the parking brake cable.  Pry off the cover and loosen the nut to loosen the parking brake and v/v.  You will probably have to heat it with a torch to get it to move.
