i was wondering if you could get a body peircing under 18 if...

If you get a navel peircing which is what it truley is. Not a belly button peircing sheesh. Simpley do what the body mod artist tells you and everything will work out fine. As far a pain goes everybody has a difrent tolerence to pain wimps need not apply. I kinda like it and look forward to more tattoos and other types of bm(body modification). I curently have one tribal design on my left arm and my right brow is peirced. Its adictive so becarefull about what you chose to do or all your money goes towards the closest tattoo parlor. As far as peirciengs clean with alcohol never use perocides. You can lightly clean with soap and water in the shower but be gentile as flesh will be sensetive. Once its healed do what you want i dont care

i am 16 and i have 5 peircings. my first holes in my ears, one second hole which i made bigger, the middle of my bottom lip and my navel. the ones that hurt the most was my ears (but i was only 6). your lip doesn't hurt, i couldn't feel a thing, my navel stung for a day or 2 after because your clothes rub. i had to be over 14 to get my belly done and the same with my lip but i was aloud to go on my own after i was 16 (proving my age). i never got told not to go swimming or anything like that but you have to clean it really well or it will get infected and you will have to take it out. clean it with sea salt as it has less artificial chemicals in it. you should be fine, but make sure your parents know and that you are certain you want it done. p.s my navel and lip cost �30 each!

im 19 and have 18 piercings, one 8mm flesh tunnel, one 2mm flesh tunnel that im currently widening, nipple, belly, 2 lip rings and 12 earings. i had my belly done when i was 15 behind my mums back and she was right to say no places that do it without consent are not sterile and dont always know what they are doing. it got infected and i had to take it out, i had it repierced about a month ago by a proper piercist and its fine, i regret having it done when i was young and wish id waited. i went swimming after a week and its still fine. to answer will it hurt, your having a needle through your body of course it will hurt. to answer does a nipple hurt, it was the most painful thing ever they cant numb it because it would make it too hard, it hurt for bout a month. i was going to get both but decided to stick to one. my lip wasnt too bad, bruised alot but healed in a week, got to be careful you dont swallow it like i did tho! i think people thinking of being pierced at 11 are stupid, your too young.

hey guys... alrite a bunch of you ask how you can convince your parents? alrite gather a bunch of information on it..(in print) and like research it on the web then show your parents what youve got on the topic...tell them (without whining) how you have thought about it for a while..know the procedure, risks etc. itll show them you are responsible enough...and that youve thought it throuh and are ready to make an adult decisions..oh and by the way my cousin is a professional piercer...DO NOT GET IT DONE UNTIL YOUR AT LEAST 14...middle 13 may be ok...your stomach (the actual organ) is not finished developing..and piercing it will cause abnormal growth symptoms..and your stomach will get all disfigured..its so gross...trust me im not joking to get you guys to not do it i thnk its real pretty!

ok for you girls who were asking about nipple piercings like in the middle of this brutal bellybutton piercing crap from 11 and 12 years olds here it is- i got mine done like 4 months a go and im yea- 16. im being straight out honest at the time it didnt hurt but like 15 min later i felt like i was going to keel over and die. it hurt a lot and believe it or not hiding it from your parents is huge. my best friend got hers done firsta and she ended up bleeding and passing out for an hour before i went in.- and for your info, hers later fell out and yea body rejection is a hardcore issue. if you ever want to get both of your nipples done- do it when you get your first one- because after all the pain and treatment you really dont want to go back and go through it all agian. your boobs also become really sensitive after piercing which makes other things amazing. i got it done in the winter whch was smart on the swimming things [it looks awesoem in bathing suits- except careful with family/ relatives ;)]but you get shocks with surgical metal- when its really cold out. uhm the experience itself is awesome and i totlaly recommoend it. its something that isnt trashy and just really fun and can be really intimate and exciting with the b/f, uhm dont let any guys lick / play with it for a while because it will get infected. and yea. im looking in on getting my clit pierced. and if i get the nerves.- my 2nd nipple. uhm yea any info on clits-? let me know. oh yea and if any of this info was inappropriate and unserious to you. (aka 11 and 12 year olds) maybe you shouldnt be on this site in the first place. stop worrying about your belly buttons and swimming just go and get them done AND dont go swimming.- wow i like some valuable info from some one who actually knows/is experienced in this stuff. not an 11/12 yr old that should prolly be waiting 4 or 5 years anyways. xoc

yes, u can get ur belly pierced under the age of 18 but u do have to have an adult it doesn't have to be ur parents(or parent) because i didn't have my ma with me but she said i could get it.i'm15 i had my piercing since i don't know when but you can go swimming soon after you get the piercing you just gotta clean it really good and really take care of it.its hard to get an infection if you take really good care of it.thats why professionals suggest that you get parental permission or that you be at the age that you should be responsible enough and that age is 18. but people who say don't go swimming don't listen to them. swimming is actually good for the belly piercing but like i said you gotta take really good care of it.when you get it pierced soak it as much as possible(soaking is good for the piercing)use sea salt, tanning is good for it too, and don't mess with it you don't want to irritate the piercing.

I just don't know why stuped Americans wants to be stuped all the time. Only Americans bc.doing drugs and everything that noone else is doing it. Why dont you go around the world and see what smort people is doing. I know it is not your fult that you dont have chance to see other cultures because you stick with tipical american cultures that no one in the world likes. Ofcorse you don't know better. Get your diploma and then bee cool don't get cool with doing bad stuff to your self. You are not cool if you are not educated I also undrstand that you are trying to let people taht you are cool but we the smart ones we know when we see you who you are we don;t have to ask even any question. soon as we see how you are dresing and what you have on your bodu how you talk we see that you don;t have qualifications at all the only thing you want to get attention is with belly and boobs pirced body that is not a good way of showing your self honey GET EDUCATION ALL OF YOU.And teach other how to bahive in good way. Ok, firstly? All you guys asking about piercing yourselves...its really not a good idea, but if you're desperate,don't ask about it in a forum like this.Go online and read it up,check the library,ask advice from professionals,sticking needles into yourself isn't rocket science but it IS something you dont wanna mess up. Secondly?All those of you who are trying to persuade your parents to let you have piercings....if they keep saying no,maybe they have a good reason for that.Ask them,maybe one of them has had a bad piercing experience etc.Take them to talk to a professional and let them chat about the risks etc, and if they don't change thier mind maybe they just feel that you aren't quite mature enough yet.If so,wait untill yo're 16 and go and get it done by yourself-this is less risky anyway as it gives less chance of your piercing growing out and having to be re-pierced.Ouch!

hey hey, ok i want to get my tongue peirced and like mi mom doesn't care...i've always been able to get away with things like this...o and bi the way i'm 12...lol...ok so does anyone kno how much it costs to get ur tongue done???...and fer the people that want to kno how to persuade ur 'rents to get ur peircings...u can go one of 2 wayz...1.keep bugging til they agree...or...2.get good grades and if u don't think that u will be very good at getting better grades then do ur chores and extra ones too...ok so bak to my "issues"...how much does its usually cost??? ok, first, you guys need to learn to f'ingspell. your retarded ways you spell things isn't cool, they just make you look like the sad little preteens that you are. second, though i remember when i was your age, but come on. think it threw and wait a bit longer about the piercing. this is a segjestion to get your parents ok my mom never liked pericings but loves tatoos and my dad hates tatoos but likes pericings so i knew i didnt have to ask my dad if i could get my fat decorated(belly button pirced) but i live with my mom so her desision was the main one so i just sat my mom down one day and said mom i was woundering because my grades are up im not in any troble and i have become much more responsable if i could get my belly pirced i have researched it and i am sure this is what i want to do she asked me about it and the ifermation i got when i researched it she was so proud about how mature about the situation that she said yes and even offered to pay so at the age of 15 i got my belly button peirced and my mom sat by my side the intire time.

oh my goodness...please, if you are under 18, GET YOUR PARENTS PERMISSION!!!! it won't kill you to wait, either. i was 19 when i got my first body piercing. and if you're asking if it hurts...you shouldn't get one!! yes, they always hurt!!! it's not like an ear piercing gun, it's not that quick and painless...they pinch your skin with a metal clamp that is not that comfortable in the first place, then they push a hollow needle thru...hollow...so a chunk of skin is popped out...like a hole punch. i'mnot saying it's unbearable, it's pretty quick actually...but if what i'vesaid scares you, DON'T GET IT DONE!!! they will still be piercing when u turn 18, or at least 16, come on...you want holes in your skin before u can even drive a car??? if you want to be grown up, research it online, get to know everything you possibly can about it, then wait a few years..till u are grown :)

This anwser is for Alexis .. Well in Kentucky you have 2 be at least 18 to get your'ebelly button pierced without a parent which you ... Yea .. lol .. iv'edone tryed doin that at a place called "TINY TIMS TATTOOS" i was only 13 at tha time but yea anyway'zi had my friend's brother with me an i told em that he was my uncle and that my mother had recently passed away so i was living with him at tha time .. so ... they asked me for my birth cirtificate to have proof that he was actually my uncle .. well .. let's just say that that day sucked ! lol .. i mean it depend'son how old you are .. i'monly 14 and they still won't allow you getting any kind of piercing unless you have an adult which you .. but yea after about a month i finally sucked up in to asking my mom and my dad if i could get my belly button pierced .. an they said YES ! lol i was like DAMN ! FINALLY ! so in about 3 more day's i'mgetting it done .. my mom is taking me to a place called "MOTHER'S TATTOOS" in Erlanger KY. Yea if your'eever in KY and want to get any kind of piercing go to mother's it's the best place to get it done at and they have very good sterilization .. and they are all pro's .. if you want to look at there web site go to Google an type in Mothers tattoos and it should be on there .. G2g luv ya ! an i hope that i gave you anough information as they did me ..

Okay what the hell is with all these stupid 11,12 and 13 year olds saying "oh yeah I already have 240982104 peircings" no one cares and you will regret it when you are older. &&stop asking about swimming and if it hurts. I got my belly button done when I was 14 and it felt like NOTHING. that was two years ago and since then it only got infected once. which wasnt even a big deal. and when I got it done I went to a really good place and they said you cant take it out for 4 months or swim for that long either. annnd yes you can buy rings from a "regular store". as long as they are packages proper so they cant be touched by everyone. annd dont buy ones for like 3$..they suck.

nose, yes i would say its painful! but if its done professionally its not too bad navel: if its done by you its painful! speed is key, professionally your way better off let it heal for at least 60 days before getting active swimming in chlorinated water ears: piece of cake, don't infect very easily pretty much painless. lip: the pain for your lip is mild, even when professionally done, i did mine last year at home with a hollow beveled needle and a sterilizer, its fine! emu oil is great for the base no alcohol to cleanse it! tongue: depends on pain tolerance really, NEVER EVER DO THIS YOUR SELF. much higher risk for serious injury and infection of the blood stream! eyebrow: not painful! very easy to tear, flimsy for about a year. They're are facial nerves running through the left and right, DIY risk is not that bad, be advised and research nerve anatomy of the face first boiling & alcohol will not kill the bad germs septum: (the bull ring piercing) is in my opinion painful; infects easily, get this professionally done! afterwards use a q-tip with warm water and rub in a gentle circular motion around entry hole do not take out the your ring/hoop. Monroe piercing: (the birth mark piercing) is relatively painless. the scarring is pretty bad so think about this choice wisely! don't do it pictures or temporarily just because the scarring is in tender tissue zones and may stay red and gradually fade to red after a long time. medusa: (center of top lip) about as painful as the bottom in any zone, take care of just as any other lip piercing, smiley: (the skin flap attaching top lip to gums) this is ok to do yourself there are not any vital nerves or veins, minimal bleeding involved, it is painful though. genital piercing: female: ther are different regions in which you can Peirce this is not a DIY project the vaginal area has hundreds and thousands of nerves, you may lose feeling if this is not done properly and possibly the ability to feel the big O. you also risk disease , NEVER DO THIS YOURSELF. male: same goes for males. thers less placement choice though. anything i missed? oh. cartilage. much more painful than lobe peircing, should be taken care of. it sucks to take out & redo! DIY is not as bad here, i wouldn't mind you doing this yourself Nipple piercing: female: get this professionally done, this is painful by most peoples standards, its the clamp that hurts the most though! male: the areolla? (sp) is much smaller obviously, and should be professionally done try to avoiding doing this in an upward motion on the lobe, as if you take it out due to infection it may trap the infection inside while the entry hole heals, labret (middle of lip) not painful really, as most lip peircing procedures tend not to be, this can be DIY, there are so many placed to Peirce your ears as well! the tragus helix inner and outer orbital cartilage lobe industrial ect, think about every move you make when piercing yourself!

I have several piercings now, i'm 15, and i have to say you all pay way to much i had my top ear done for 5 pound from a reputable place. All you 11 and 12 year olds moaning about how your parents wont let u get it done- ever think its for a reason, your still growing, so most piercings on your body- e.g your skin will stretch slightly as your hips etc widen, which means u end up with a small scar around the piercing- wait till you have almost finished growing.If you want to show you are mature enough to have a piercing stop whining about it and take the advise. I have a scar around some of my piercings because i had them done when i was wasn't finished growing, and now i am really self conscious about some of them

Hello to everyone. i have ear lobe piercings(13) nose stud (14) navel (15) and top ear cartilage (16). i had absolutly no trouble with my ear lobes or nose stud and only a slight problem with my top ear cartilage. the navel piercing on the other hand is hell on earth when it was healing. being the nutter that i am, i thought that it had healed within two weeks and decided to change it (BIG MISTAKE!!!!) dont want to gross anyone out but green puss and blood which to be honest is not the nicest! now nearly a year on its finaly deciding to start to heal properly. also a big mistake is not telling your parents, i mean you obvisously cant hide facial piercings but you can hide body piercings quite easily but dont bother! you have to wear loose clothes so they cant see the balls (sounds easy but its not), and you have to be very careful about who you tell and you constantly have to watch your mouth. for piercings in scotland i highly reccomend www.tribalbodyart.co.uk - very very good and spiders web tattoo studio in cowdenbeath and art and soul in kirkcaldy. heya i just wanna let u no i think all da 11 and 12 year olds wantin navels and things peirced is really young. ino dat sounds so stupid but i was 13 b4 i was gettin a navel peircin. i did all my other ones my self i did my ears 3x on each side and the top of my ear. i dont think ppl shud peirce there navels themselves tho .... far to risky .... and yea salt atrer and chlorine irritae it most times. it depends wat studio u go to to get ur navel done that they will say how long kt takes to heal ... i got told 9 months .... my m8 got told 4 my other m8 6. i live in northern ireland and u can usually need a parent with u and u can get most things dun. and btw most peircin do hurt even if its the tiniest bit so stop askin :D lol

i wouldnt suggest getting anything accept your ears pierced until your at least 15 or 16. Lets say your like.. OMG, IM LYKE SO AWESOM, in 12 and i got a belly Pircing!!111! ok, lets also say you have a big growth spurt, it will stretch. Dont do it yourself, if you do, your stupid. And do not get it at a place that allows you to with out a parent present, they are probably doing worse under the books and dont properly sanatise their needles... in other words.. if youd like your navil ring becoming infected and causing you to get surgery.. go for it! Do not get piercings because y0u think theyll make you look older or cuter or omg hot. They will make you look so stupid and juvelile. Im 16, ive pierced my lip (by myself) it ruened my lip, so i have to wait to get it done by someone who can actually do it properly. I also think navil rings (belly butten rings) are gaudy and slutty, and should only be worn by strippers. but thats just me love <3 hugs and kisses <3

If you have to ask this you probably shouldn't be doing it, but the reason they don't allow blood donations from persons with body piercings is because of the highly increased risk of potentially fatal infectious diseases, some of which can go undetectable for up to ten years or longer. That length of time could add up to hundreds or even thousands of people being infected by just one person during the space of ten years. The risk is too great, therefore they will not take the chance and simply refuse donations from body pierced donors.

yes, you can get your belly done when your under 18- i have mine done and I'm 15. even in some places that i know of you can get it done without your parent. but i don't suggest you do it without your mum and dad knowing.

When you get your belly peirced how long do you keep it in for before you can switch the ring? And about how much of the skin do they take for the piercing..?? And would you suggest getting it done in the winter or the summer?

i have my belly button peirce, if you are under 18 don't get it peirced somewhere that will do it without a parent. if they aren't strict with that than they probably aren't with the health factors.the best time to get it peirced is in the fall or winter because you aren't supposed to go swimming when you first get it done.they don't take much skin just pinch your belly button and you can estimate how much they take.

hey dont get it in the summer get it in the fall or spring or winter so you can swimm my friend got it in the summer then went swimming any way .... it got infected and i dont know how many times we had the entire pool looking for that stupid dice thing. try to get a metal one and make sure that it isnt stripped because hers was and the had to repeirce it and she got all sick and puky from ripping it out and peircing it again!

hey i am 14 and i am gonna be 15 in April and i have been asking my mom if i could get my bellybutton pierced and at first she said no and i told her i would play for it and i would do anything and etc. I asked my dad when i went to visit him and he doesn't care and it is all up to my mom and step dad i wanted to know how are some more good ways to persuade my parents of letting me getting it done?

nose piercings can get infected as can any other piercing but if you look after it proberly then you should be fine. I have 9 piercings and I've cleaned all of them with salt water and they have all been great! If you get it done enjoy!!!! p.s what part of your nose????

hi im 13 and i am getting my belly pierced in a few days and i am goin away 2 centre parcs (im sure some of u what dat place is) well anyway i hav 45 days until i go 2 center parcs after i will hav my belly pierced...is it ok if i go swimming 45 days after getting it done? plz write back thanx x x

to the swimming 45 days after getting your Navel pierced... DO NOT GO SWIMMING! It will get infected and the chlorene will irritate it... wait at least a month before you go. If you want to go swimming... go... but dont say i didnt warn you.

I think everyone there needs to check themselves. First your parents struggle if they'll let you pierce yourself when you're 11. Second, most body piercings are outrageously sensitive... i have them myself, and if not taken care of extremely well, they smell bad, get infected and then scar badly. Its something you need to think over.

I think if you are going to get your belly pierced you should just do it. I got a piercing and I was only 17. And I didn't have an adult. So if you really want it you will get it done no matter what it takes.

im 13 and im getting my belly pierced in about 3 weeks cuz i have to wait for my report card but my parents r totally cool with it but that the only piercing im allowed to get till im 16 except my ears those i can get pierced wherever which is pretty cool well ttul shady

hey y'all im 15 i peirce my own ears and have 14 peircings in my ears altogether. I have my nose peirced 2 times and i had my belly button peirced but it got infected and i let it heal up. Having your nose and belly button peirced is just the same as having your ears peirced. And just so y'all no i am not a punk or a goth i just want a couple of peircings they heal up if you dont want them so they are much betta than tattoo's! Go for it y'all its no big deal!

I'm 14 and I wanted to know if I could get my navel pierced without my parents being present. Could they just like write a note saying it's okay, or do one of them need to physically be there when I get it done. My parents told me that I could go for it but they're really busy with work and things and just don't have time to be there. Also, if it is not possible for one of my parents to be there, could I bring my aunt or uncle? Thanks :)

i was wonderin if u could tell me exactly how many weeks/months to wait after gettin it peirced to take it out? also how can u tell ur parents that u want 2 get ur belly button peirced or anythin else peirced even though theyll let u get ur ears peirced? if they say no how can u convince them?

To whomever was asking if nose peircings hurt. Yes they do hurt. More than a belly button or eyebrow, but the pain is not unbearable. It really only hurts when they are doing the procedure, so like a minute. Then it hurts for about a week after when you are cleaning and moving it around.
