my 97 dodge caravan starts but only runs for 5 seconds and...

my 97 dodge caravan  starts but only runs for 5 seconds and stops some time after 1 hour it starts OK and some time 5 hours  .. need  to find out what is making this happen

the problem is the cpu also known as the main computer.

I HAVE A 1997 DODGE CARAVAN, WITH 94,000 MILES ON IT. TRANSMISSION JUST WENT BAD. WILL COST ME APPROXIMATELY $2,500 TO FIX. AND I THOUGHT I JUST FINISHED PAYING A GOOD AMERICAN MADE VEHICLE.WHAT A RIP-OFF NOW NO-ONE WANT IT EVEN FOR FREE

NO,you need to replace the crank sensor we did and now works great. Good Luck.
