I took my 1998 Plymoth Voyager 3.0 to NTB to have it aligned and new tires,(didnt have tires I wanted)the mechanic told the guy selling me the alignment that I had a "bent" strut on the left side that is why my tire was wearing (on the right side I have a balding tire)have the readings but dont make sense to me...ANYWAY... Wanted to charge me over 300.00 bucks to put new strut assembly on I said no.  CHARGED ME for an alignment and said I could come back  when I got the strut replaced to get my alignment, got home jacked up the van and having knowledge of cars and their parts saw in no shape or form a bent strut. Was this guy just trying to get me or more money or am I overlooking something? How do you tell other than just by looking at it you have a BENT STRUT. Any help would be appreciated.
