I have a GFI receptacle in my kitchen area that tripped.  When I push the reset button, 5 minutes later it trips again.  This has occurred 5 times now.  What should I be checking?  I am not familiar with electrical systems, but am willing to test.  Where do I begin?

check for ants if not check down the line down the line means what Else has been affected what is now off that was on when the gfi was on could be an appliance lt. etc... if none of these makes sense the gfi is bad test it if it doesn't Trip or is hard to reset replace it note you should test gfis once o month
