It HAS to firm from the hips down - hip flexors (gives you that V of the groin), glutes, thighs, hamstrings and probably most of all calves!

Running actually helps you tone almost every muscle in the body. It firms your stomach and everything below and also tones your arms from all the pumping. From what I've heard, (guys' opinions) runners and soccer players have the best bodies. =)

I am a soccer player and based on my experience, running helps to tone up the lower part of your body, legs, stomach, butt, lower back, etc. It also tones up all muscles as said before, but it mostly tones up the lower parts of the body. It makes you get cut faster too.

Running helps from the waist down in my opinion. As a female who just started running it has helped to tone my legs most of all.

I used to do a lot of running which helped keep all areas of my body firm. I noticed in particular that my stomach was a lot flatter then. Although my legs do remain firm I put this down to the amount of cycling I do.
