I am 3 days late getting my period. My doctor ordered an HCG serum test. The count was only 16, which she said is borderline. What is a normal count at this early stage? Is it probable that I am miscarrying?

if you are only 3 days late and your count is 16 that is good, there is nothing wrong with you or your baby, i am 12 days late and none of the pregnancy tests are picking up a count, i still keep getting negative. Most tests pick up 25 any less you will get a negative but it doesn't mean you are not pregnant its just the HCG hormone is not very strong, no problem with that - every 2 days it doubles in strength so maybe you should just test again in 48 hours then you may get a positive.

I have the same exact thing and I'm afraid that I'm miscarrying. I didn't go to a doctor for a blood test yet, just keep buying HPTs and all negatives. I hope someone can answer our question!

I am also 3 days late on my period and we are ttc, i have PCOS though so my periods are probably just absent. in your case there is a high chance that you could be pregnant if you had alot of intercourse.
