When it rains outside my dog won't go out to go to the bathroom. What do I do?

My dog won't do this either though will go outside as soon as it has stopped raining and do his business then. During a recent torrential downpour you could almost see him cross his legs as he waited to go!

But if the rain has set in, then I grab an umbrella for me, put my dog on his lead, and take him outside to his spot and tell him "do your business" (the phrase I selected when house training him). Then once he is done we go back inside again.

Try paper or litterbox training your dog if you have a small or medium sized dog. For larger and giant sized dogs, you may have to build a shelter so that when it rains, there will always be dry ground for the dog.
