My jeep started to loose coolant and water slowly then after a week or so of constantly checking to make sure it didn't get too low, it began to loose the fluids rapidly.  On the way home the other night it began steaming badly and the temperature was up to about 210 when i shut it off for the night. I was almost home so I made sure I got there. I went to start the jeep in the morning and it sounded like a loud big diesel truck kind of shaky a little.  Someone said maybe a gasket? I was thinking it sounded like someone put something in the gas tank.  Like how it would when it isn't getting gas to it.  I cant afford a high cost repair if that is what it is. What does it sound like to you and what would you suggest is the lowest cost for repair if it is major?  I fixed the thermostat with a book from the library. Can I do it you think?
