I have a 97 GXE Maxima with a intermittent start problem....

I have a 97 GXE Maxima with a intermittent start problem. The car dosent start sometimes and i need to let it sit for 8 to 10 hrs .I do not have a check engine light. The engine cranks fine and battery is new.I dont do any thing but let the car sit for 8 to 10 hrsafter which it starts normally. I started noticing this after I changed my oil and oil filter.any help on diagnosis will be appreciated.
